**Chapter 849: A New Legacy**
**Scene 1: Sakura POV**
Zule, Sakura, and Aubrie seated on the bed while Dagon paced rapidly.
Worried.
Yes, Zule was pregnant—one month—and suddenly the Demon of the Shield turned into a worried father as he listed out plan after plan from school, Temple, hidden worlds.
It was enjoyable to see Dagon worried. Wait, wrong or right word.
Sakura only hoped she would be as calm as Zule right now.
Sakura sat cross-legged on the large bed in Dagon's private quarters aboard the *Annihilator*, her purple hair cascading over one shoulder as she watched the man she loved pace back and forth like a caged nexu. The room was dimly lit, the soft hum of the ship's engines a constant backdrop to the emotional storm unfolding before them. Zule lounged against the headboard, looking surprisingly serene, while Aubrie sat beside her, one hand resting gently on Zule's stomach. Sakura herself felt a mix of joy, nervousness, and quiet amusement at the scene.
Dagon's white hair was slightly disheveled, his scarred face etched with an intensity that was usually reserved for battle. He gestured wildly as he spoke, his voice a rapid stream of thoughts. "We'll need a dedicated nursery on the *Annihilator* first—reinforced, shielded, with the best medical droids available. Then the Temple on Coruscant must have a secure wing. Hidden worlds for safety if the war escalates. Schools—specialized training, but also normal childhood experiences. Force-sensitive tutors, but not too strict…"
Zule, Sakura, and Aubrie exchanged glances, barely suppressing smiles. The fearsome Grand Master of the Jedi Order, Supreme Commander of the Republic, the man known across the galaxy as the Demon of the Shield, was reduced to a pacing, stammering expectant father in the span of a single revelation.
Sakura leaned back on her hands, enjoying the sight. It was rare to see Dagon like this—unguarded, human, vulnerable in the best possible way. She only hoped she would be as calm as Zule right now when her own time came. The Falleen-Zeltron hybrid sat with a soft glow of contentment, one hand absently tracing circles over her still-flat stomach.
"Dagon, my love," Sakura said gently, her voice warm with affection, "you're going to wear a hole in the deck plating. Come sit with us."
He paused mid-step, running a hand through his hair. "I just… I never thought… A father. Me. After everything I've done, everything I am. What if the darkness—"
Zule reached out, catching his hand and pulling him gently toward the bed. "The darkness doesn't define you. Not anymore. This child will know the man who fights for peace, not just the warrior."
Sakura and Aubrie nodded in agreement, making space for him. The four of them settled together, the bond between them stronger than ever. The war outside these walls felt distant for a precious moment. A new life was growing, and with it, a new chapter for them all.
**Scene 2: Zule POV**
'Pregnant. I am pregnant.' Wait.
As a Falleen the cycle is 17 months, then an egg 3 months more, but as a Zeltron it's 6 months.
And then poof—baby.
"Uh, Dagon, honey, shouldn't you calm down a bit?" Zule said.
"Sure, baby, do you need anything? Eat? Drink? Cake? Could you eat cake?" Dagon stammered.
"How about we just go to the medical droid? After all, they have general knowledge," Aubrie said.
Zule felt a strange mix of emotions swirling inside her as she watched Dagon's frantic pacing. The revelation had hit her like a stun bolt—unexpected, overwhelming, and yet… right. She placed a hand over her stomach, marveling at the tiny life growing within. As a Falleen, her natural cycle was long—seventeen months, followed by a three-month egg incubation. But her Zeltron heritage had clearly taken dominance, shortening everything to a more human-compatible six months. No egg. Just a baby.
'Pregnant,' she thought again, a small, secret smile tugging at her lips. The idea was terrifying and exhilarating all at once. She had always known the risks of their relationship, the intensity of their love, but this… this was new territory.
Dagon's worry was endearing. The man who commanded fleets and faced down Sith lords was now listing every possible contingency for their child's future—schools, hidden safe worlds, Temple protections. It was almost comical, but Zule's heart swelled with love for him.
"Uh, Dagon, honey, shouldn't you calm down a bit?" she said softly, reaching for his hand.
"Sure, baby, do you need anything? Eat? Drink? Cake? Could you eat cake?" Dagon stammered, his usual commanding presence replaced by pure, unfiltered concern.
Aubrie chuckled, sliding closer. "How about we just go to the medical droid? After all, they have general knowledge."
Sakura nodded in agreement, her purple hair swaying as she stood. "She's right. Let's get proper confirmation and advice. No need to panic yet."
Zule allowed herself to be helped up, leaning on Dagon's arm. The walk to the medical bay felt surreal. Two months into the campaign, and now this. The war outside continued—Fondor secured, Foerost under pressure, the final pushes into Hutt space looming—but here, in this moment, the galaxy narrowed to the four of them and the new life they had created.
**Scene 3: Annihilator Medical Bay**
"Yes, the Falleen-Zeltron hybrid with a human. Yes, unique combination but not unheard of."
"Her cycle will be 6 months but no egg, as she takes mostly Zeltron as the dominant parent," the droid said.
"At 3 months she will begin the expansion of her womb and belly. After, it's recommended she gets a checkup every week till the due date while she is confined to rest periods," the droid said.
"3 months rest? I can't stay that long," Zule complained.
"Yes, well, her diet as it seemed needs an increase in milk and meat mainly," the droid continued.
The medical bay aboard the *Annihilator* was a state-of-the-art facility, equipped with the best droids and technology Dagon's resources could provide. Sterile white walls, humming scanners, and soft lighting created a calm atmosphere that contrasted sharply with the tension in the room.
The medical droid hovered attentively, its sensors sweeping over Zule as she sat on the examination table. Dagon stood beside her, one hand protectively on her shoulder, while Sakura and Aubrie flanked them.
"Yes, the Falleen-Zeltron hybrid with a human. Yes, unique combination but not unheard of," the droid confirmed in its precise, mechanical tone. "Her cycle will be 6 months but no egg, as she takes mostly Zeltron as the dominant parent."
Zule let out a slow breath, her hand resting over her stomach. Six months. It felt both too short and impossibly long.
"At 3 months she will begin the expansion of her womb and belly. After, it's recommended she gets a checkup every week till the due date while she is confined to rest periods," the droid continued.
"Three months rest? I can't stay that long," Zule complained, glancing at Dagon. The idea of being sidelined while the war raged felt wrong. She was a warrior, a Jedi Knight. But the spark of life inside her changed everything.
"Yes, well, her diet as it seemed needs an increase in milk and meat mainly," the droid continued, listing nutritional requirements and potential complications with clinical detachment.
Dagon listened intently, his earlier panic giving way to focused determination. "We'll adjust the schedule. Light duties only. The girls and I will ensure she's protected."
Sakura smiled softly, squeezing Zule's hand. "We're in this together. All of us."
Aubrie nodded. "The child will be strong. Like its parents."
Zule looked up at Dagon, her eyes shining with a mix of love and determination. "A father. We're going to be parents."
Dagon leaned down, pressing a gentle kiss to her forehead. "And I'll protect you both. No matter what."
The medical droid continued its recommendations, but for the four of them, the war outside felt momentarily distant. A new life was on the way—and with it, a renewed reason to fight for the future
