Chapter 780 - Chapter 748

**Chapter 748: Megiddo Burst**

**Scene 1: Dagon's Mindscape**

The world inside Dagon's mind was a shattered battlefield of black glass and crimson lightning. The Demon Dragon Emperor loomed before him — a colossal shadow of wrath and ambition given form, wings spread like the end of all things.

"You feel it, don't you?" Dagon said, voice echoing. "Their pain. Their suffering. A living death. I know there is power to reverse it — similar to what happened on Naboo with the Blue Shadow Virus. And I am stronger now."

The Demon Dragon's laughter rumbled like distant thunder. "Are you? You are a foolish boy. That power is greater than anything a mere living monstrosity can wield. But there *is* a way. Easier to simply destroy the world. Here — an experimental mode. One even I have rarely dared."

Dagon's fists clenched. "No. I will not condemn billions on that world to extinction."

"You are only mortal, you fool," the Dragon snarled, eyes blazing.

Dagon met the ancient entity's gaze without flinching. "Then I will be the mortal who refuses to become a monster like you."

**Scene 2: Aboard the Devastation – Orbit Above Alsakan**

The bridge was tense. Admiral Kinaun stood rigid at the tactical display as the *Devastation* and its battle group maintained position above the besieged planet.

"No ships have left the surface yet," Kinaun reported. "The Alsakan government has activated the full planetary shield. They believe we're here to glass the planet."

A sudden wave of agony slammed into every Force-sensitive on the bridge. Dagon staggered, gripping the command rail. Miaria hissed, claws extending. Atroxa and Talon both growled, while Aubrie clutched her head.

"I know a way to stop it," Dagon said through gritted teeth, the scars on his face burning. He opened a personal hyperspace micro-portal directly to the surface — a risky technique even for him.

"You'd better come back," Aubrie whispered, eyes filled with worry.

Dagon looked at the four women who had become his anchors. "I always do."

He stepped through the portal.

**Scene 3: Alsakan Surface – Capital District**

Chaos.

The once-beautiful public parks and boulevards of Alsakan's capital had become a nightmare landscape. A massive, pulsating red blob — the primary gestalt mass of Crimson-71 — dominated the central plaza, tentacles hundreds of meters long whipping out to drag in new victims. Zombified citizens, their bodies grotesquely twisted into tentacled horrors, shambled through the streets, infecting anyone they could reach. Screams echoed between the towering spires as living people were consumed and repurposed.

Dagon emerged in the heart of it all.

He opened the Mind Prison technique fully, drawing on the collective hate, suffering, and terror of every infected soul on the planet. He bled himself into the connection — battle-melding with the entire world, channeling the seething planetary rage and pain.

It was too much power. Almost too much to contain.

"In our darkest hour," Dagon roared, voice amplified across the district, "I burn brightest!"

"**Shield of Wrath V: Megiddo Burst!**"

The Wrath Shield underwent a catastrophic transformation. All color drained from the armor until it was absolute black — a void given form. Only Dagon's eyes remained, glowing an angry, growing crimson. Dark energy surged around him like a second sun made of pure annihilation.

"The blood must flow. Darkness blacker than black and darker than dark, I beseech thee — combine with my deep crimson. Rip and tear. Fly and hunt."

He thrust both hands forward.

A cataclysmic wave of blue-white purification energy exploded outward from his body. It was not destruction — it was *reversal*. The massive red gestalt blob screamed as the wave struck it, burning away layer after layer of corrupted biomass. Infected monsters convulsed as the virus was forcibly purged from their systems. Twisted bodies melted and reformed into their original shapes — terrified, sobbing, but alive.

The blue wave continued spreading at terrifying speed, racing across the entire capital district and beyond. Planetary shield or not, nothing could stop it. Every infected individual was forcibly returned to normal. The virus itself was annihilated wherever the light touched.

For a single, eternal moment, Alsakan burned with purifying blue fire.

**Scene 4: Devastation – Orbit**

On the bridge, the entire crew was thrown to their knees as the enormous blue wave erupted from the surface and washed over the fleet. Ships rocked violently. Alarms blared.

Admiral Kinaun pulled himself up, staring at the main viewport in disbelief. "What… just happened?"

Reports flooded in from the surface.

"Be advised," a stunned officer read from the comm. "General Marek… basically purified everything. No one was destroyed. Every infected individual has returned to normal. The plague is gone."

Miaria, Atroxa, Talon, and Aubrie stood together, watching the blue afterglow fade from the planet below.

"He did it," Aubrie whispered, tears in her eyes.

Atroxa smiled fiercely. "Of course he did. He's the Dragon."

Far below, in the heart of the cleansed capital, Dagon Marek stood alone amid thousands of dazed, weeping civilians who were slowly realizing they were still alive. His Wrath Shield slowly reverted to its normal state, the black void receding.

He looked up toward the sky — toward his fleet — and allowed himself one exhausted breath.

The necessary monster had burned bright once again.

But the cost was climbing. The darkness inside him stirred hungrily in response to the power he had channeled.

Alsakan was saved.

For now.
