Chapter 769 - Chapter 739 : Mind Prison part 1

**Chapter 739: Echoes of the Mind Prison**

**Scene 1: Aboard the Devastation – Dagon's Private Quarters**

The *Devastation* battle group sliced through hyperspace on its return journey to Coruscant. In the dim, warm glow of his private quarters, Dagon Marek lay on the reinforced bed with Queen Miaria Prrt curled against his chest. Snuggling was still a strange concept for him — something he had rarely allowed even with the women he was bonded to. But with Miaria, who was now technically his girlfriend (not yet wife — they both needed time to adjust to the rapid shift), he had given in.

He stroked her long raven hair, feeling the soft golden fur of her ears twitch under his fingers. She purred contentedly, tail draped lazily over his thigh.

"I put you through a thousand years in the Mind Prison," Dagon said quietly, voice low and rough. "I can hardly believe it myself. And yet here you are, choosing to be with me."

Miaria lifted her head, amber eyes meeting his scarred face. "You gave me power. You gave me truth. And you stayed with me through every second of it, even if it was only a copy of you. I survived because of you."

Dagon pulled her closer, burying his face in her hair. The guilt still lingered, but so did something warmer. Something real.

**Scene 2: The Mind Prison – First 100 Years**

The Mind Prison was a constructed realm inside Dagon's Force techniques — an accelerated pocket of time where a thousand years could pass in mere days of real space.

At first, it had been almost peaceful for Miaria.

"No fighting today?" the copy of Dagon asked, standing in a serene Felacatian jungle simulation.

Miaria stretched lazily on a sun-warmed rock, tail flicking. "Not yet. This place… it's strange. I don't need to sleep, or eat, or even relieve myself. It feels like an endless vacation."

Dagon's copy smiled faintly. "Use the time wisely. Train. Reflect. The galaxy outside is burning. When you leave this place, you will need to be ready."

Miaria spent those first hundred years exploring her own mind and body. She practiced basic Force techniques, hunted simulated prey, and danced under alien stars. It was liberating. Almost fun.

**Scene 3: The Mind Prison – 500 Years**

The illusion of peace shattered around the 300-year mark.

By year 500, the isolation had begun to devour her.

Miaria screamed as she hurled Force lightning at the copy of Dagon. "You trapped me here! You did this to me!" Her claws slashed wildly, tears streaming down her face. "Let me out! Let me out!"

The copy stood firm, absorbing the attacks. "This pain is part of the process. You wanted strength. You wanted to stand beside me. This is the price."

Breakdowns became frequent. She tried to kill the copy hundreds of times. She experienced simulated deaths, endless torment, the deaths of her people, the fall of Felacat. Eternal loneliness pressed down on her like a collapsing star.

"I hate you!" she roared during one particularly vicious breakdown, collapsing to her knees. "I hate what you've made me!"

The copy knelt beside her. "Good. Use that hate. Turn it into power."

**Scene 4: The Mind Prison – 700 Years**

By the 700-year mark, something had shifted.

Miaria and the copy of Dagon fought across a shattered mountain range, lightsabers clashing in brilliant arcs. Between strikes, they talked.

"You were right," Miaria panted, blocking a heavy overhead blow. "The galaxy is cruel. I see it now."

The copy parried and countered. "And you still choose to fight beside me?"

She spun, tail whipping around to distract him before slashing low. "I do. But not as a naïve queen. As your equal."

They fought and talked for decades more. The violence became meditation. The conversations became therapy. Slowly, the broken pieces of her mind began to heal — stronger, sharper, more resilient.

**Scene 5: The Mind Prison – After 1000 Years**

When the thousand years ended, Miaria emerged transformed.

She was now a true expert with the lightsaber — her style a graceful, deadly blend of Felacatian agility and Dagon's ruthless efficiency. Dagon had shared a small amount of his blood during the process, awakening powerful latent Force talents within her. She could wield basic Force lightning with precision and control.

Most impressively, she had mastered partial beastification. Even in her normal Felacatian form, she could enhance her size, strength, and sprout razor-sharp combat claws at will — turning her into a devastating hybrid warrior on the battlefield.

Back in the present, in Dagon's quarters aboard the *Devastation*, Miaria traced a claw gently down his chest.

"I survived a thousand years in that prison because you stayed with me," she whispered. "Even if it was only your echo. You didn't abandon me."

Dagon kissed her forehead. "And I won't abandon you now. You're part of this war. Part of me."

Miaria smiled, a predatory gleam in her eyes. "Good. Because I intend to fight beside you — and warm your bed — for a very long time."

She nuzzled closer, purring softly as they drifted into a comfortable silence. Outside the room, the *Devastation* continued its journey toward Coruscant. The war waited. *Spear of Light* loomed. But for now, the Dragon and his newest queen shared a rare moment of peace forged in the fires of a thousand years.

Dagon held her tighter.

Some scars were worth bearing.
