**Chapter 733: Claws of Felacat**
**Scene 1: Royal Felacatian Palace – Grand Council Chamber**
The Royal Felacatian Palace rose like a majestic, multi-tiered fortress carved from polished obsidian and glowing crystal spires. Sunlight filtered through ornate stained-glass windows depicting ancient Felacatian hunters and warriors, casting colorful patterns across the circular council table. At the head sat Queen Miaria Prrt, her sleek feline features regal yet troubled. Elegant black-and-gold fur framed piercing amber eyes that reflected the weight of leadership thrust upon her during these turbulent Clone Wars years.
The Republic fleet had arrived in orbit hours earlier, transmitting polite but firm requests for alliance. Naturally, the answer leaned toward refusal. Felacat's people were proud warriors. Their claws were stronger than any treaty, and neutrality had served them well so far.
"We must not accept the Republic," Prime Minister Ren declared, his tail lashing with agitation. The older Felacatian male's voice echoed through the chamber. "They are led by the Demon of the Shield — Dagon Marek. A monster who wears cursed armor that devours worlds. Geonosis was sterilized. Dathomir was purified in blue fire. He turns Jedi into fanatics and clones into zealots. We would be signing our own subjugation."
Countess Kitana, the fiery Countess of War, slammed a clawed fist on the table. Her battle scars gleamed under the lighting. "And why should we ally with the Confederacy? They use nukes and biological weapons — the tools of weaklings and cowards. Machines and poison instead of honest claw and fang. If we join either side, we betray everything our ancestors fought for."
Miaria remained silent for a long moment, her ears twitching. Felacat had successfully stayed out of the conflict. The Confederacy's fleets had appeared in their system multiple times, but only as waypoints — jumping through without demanding allegiance. There had been no need to choose sides. Not yet.
Her thoughts were suddenly interrupted by a series of distant, thunderous explosions. The crystal chandeliers swayed violently. Alarms began wailing throughout the palace.
"What is that?" Miaria demanded, rising to her feet, claws extending instinctively.
Prime Minister Ren's eyes widened with poorly concealed surprise. "An attack? The Republic fleet must have—"
Another blast rocked the palace, closer this time. Dust rained from the ceiling as emergency shutters began descending over the windows.
"Defensive positions!" Countess Kitana roared, drawing her plasma-edged vibroblade. "All guards to the Queen! This is no orbital strike — it's on the ground!"
Miaria's tail flicked sharply. Something was very wrong. The timing, Ren's reaction… betrayal hung thick in the air like blood after a fresh kill.
**Scene 2: Outskirts of the Capital – Bogg's Ambush**
Deep in the shadowed jungles surrounding the capital, Bogg watched the chaos unfold through a remote hololink. The Geonosian engineer clicked his mandibles in satisfaction. Unlike the late Archduke Poggle the Lesser and the rest of his hive-bound kin who had perished on Geonosis under the Dragon's wrath, Bogg had always valued his independence. His intellect had kept him separate from the collective mind, allowing him to survive and thrive as a rogue operator.
Now, that independence would crown him a kingmaker.
The *Bogg Behemoth* — his masterpiece — rumbled forward on massive treads, a 296-meter-long monstrosity of Geonosian engineering. Heavily armored and bristling with weapons, the landtank was a mobile fortress designed for planetary conquest. Heavy blaster cannons and missile launchers lined its flanks, while four massive railguns, ten surface-to-air missiles (SAMs), and twelve anti-aircraft guns provided devastating coverage. Its complement bays swarmed with DSD1 dwarf spider droids and B1 battle droids, ready to disgorge into the fray.
"Prime Minister Ren has done his part," Bogg hissed to his lieutenant, a reprogrammed tactical droid. "The palace guards are distracted. Begin the coup. The Queen will be ours, and Felacat will deliver its claws to the Confederacy… under *my* control."
The Behemoth crested a ridge, its railguns firing with ear-splitting cracks. Hypervelocity slugs slammed into Felacatian defensive emplacements, vaporizing them in bursts of fire and shrapnel. Missile pods opened, launching a barrage toward the palace perimeter. Dwarf spider droids scuttled forward in waves, their blaster cannons cutting down royal guards who rushed to respond.
Explosions bloomed across the palace grounds. B1 battle droids marched in formation, their mechanical voices chanting "Roger, roger" as they suppressed Felacatian warriors leaping from rooftops with claws and energy lances.
Inside the council chamber, Miaria watched in horror as the main holoscreen displayed the approaching behemoth.
"That is no Republic vessel," she growled. "That abomination bears Geonosian markings — but Poggle is dead. Who dares?"
Prime Minister Ren stepped back subtly, his expression shifting from feigned shock to cold calculation. "My Queen, perhaps we should consider negotiating with the attackers. The Republic's Demon of the Shield has clearly provoked this by his mere presence in our system."
Countess Kitana whirled on him, blade raised. "You *knew*. You traitorous whelp! This is your doing!"
Before Ren could respond, the chamber doors exploded inward. B1 droids poured through, firing indiscriminately. Miaria leapt to the side with feline grace, claws slashing through the first droid's neck joint. Kitana charged forward, her vibroblade humming as it bisected two more.
"Protect the Queen!" Kitana roared.
Ren activated a hidden comm device. "Bogg — the palace is in chaos. Move the Behemoth in. The royal family will surrender or die."
Outside, the *Bogg Behemoth* continued its inexorable advance. Its heavy blaster cannons pulverized Felacatian hover tanks sent to intercept it. SAMs streaked skyward, forcing Republic gunships that had begun descending from orbit to pull back. The landtank's railguns fired again, carving massive craters in the palace outer walls.
Bogg clicked triumphantly from his command pod. "The coup begins. With Felacat's warriors under my command and the Confederacy's backing, even the Demon of the Shield will bleed. Independent Geonosis rises again — through *me*."
**Scene 3: Palace Courtyard – Chaos**
Queen Miaria fought her way to a balcony overlooking the courtyard, Kitana at her side. Below, royal guards clashed with waves of droids and spider walkers. The massive Behemoth loomed in the distance, its weapons lighting up the sky.
"We cannot hold against that thing," Miaria said, breathing heavily. "Not without help."
Kitana snarled. "Then we call the Republic fleet. I would rather serve the Demon than let this Geonosian filth take our world."
Prime Minister Ren appeared behind them, flanked by traitorous guards. "Too late for that, my Queen. The Confederacy offers true independence — under new management."
Explosions rocked the palace again as the Behemoth fired another salvo.
Miaria's amber eyes burned with fury. "Felacat's claws are not easily broken, traitor. This coup will fail."
As the battle for the Royal Palace intensified, the Republic fleet in orbit began launching landing craft. Whether Queen Miaria liked it or not, the Demon of the Shield's war had come to Felacat.
And Dagon Marek's shadow stretched long across yet another world.
