**Chapter 699: The Dragon Awakens**
**Scene 1**
**Imperious -class Star Destroyer, Terminus**
**Realspace, Geonosis System**
**Dagon POV**
The *Terminus* shuddered as it dropped out of hyperspace, the familiar blue tunnel collapsing into streaks of starlight that resolved into the cold, dusty void of the Geonosis system. I stood alone on the bridge, hands gripping the command rail, my Wrath Shield armor fully active and humming with restrained power. Ethan's holographic form flickered beside me, his usual sarcasm replaced by grim focus.
The sight that greeted us was staggering.
Rank upon rank of Geonosian warships hung in tight formation, their angular, insectoid designs bristling with weapon emplacements. Hundreds of 1-kilometer-long destroyers formed the core of the fleet — brutal, wedge-shaped vessels with heavy forward batteries and clusters of point-defense cannons. Surrounding them were thousands of smaller Geonosian attack craft: agile frigates, corvettes, and gunships that swarmed like angry hornets. The total count easily exceeded five thousand ships, creating a living wall of metal and malice.
Further back, near the massive orbital shipyards, I counted at least twelve completed frames of Subjugator-class heavy cruisers — each one a monstrous 2.2-kilometer-long behemoth designed for planetary bombardment and fleet annihilation. From the visible slipways, it looked as though another thirty had already been completed and deployed elsewhere. The shipyards themselves were a grotesque fusion of Geonosian organic architecture and stolen Republic technology — bulbous, hive-like structures pulsing with activity as droid swarms and worker drones continued construction even under threat.
"By the stars…" I muttered. "They've turned this entire system into a fortress."
Red turbolaser fire erupted almost instantly. Hundreds of crimson bolts lanced toward the *Terminus*, turning the void into a storm of deadly energy. The ship's shields flared bright blue under the barrage, absorbing the initial impacts, but the sheer volume of fire made the deck plates vibrate beneath my feet.
"Ethan, divert all auxiliary power to the kyber matrix reactors," I ordered, already moving toward the central access shaft. "I'm taking manual control from the reactor hold."
"You're turning this ship into a living weapon," Ethan warned. "The stress on the systems will be catastrophic if you push too hard."
"That's the idea."
I dropped down the shaft, Wrath Shield shifting into full combat configuration. As I entered the massive reactor chamber, the three modified kyber matrix cores pulsed with raw, unstable energy. I placed both hands on the central console, channeling the Force directly into the ship's systems. The kyber crystals responded instantly, singing in resonance with my will. The *Terminus* groaned as if alive — a mechanical beast awakening to my command.
"SPAR cannon online," I growled. "XX-10 batteries — target the lead destroyer formation. Fire at will."
From the bow of the *Terminus*, the massive SPAR cannon charged with a deep, resonant hum before unleashing a blinding white-blue beam that tore straight through three Geonosian destroyers in a single pass, vaporizing their hulls and igniting secondary explosions. The XX-10 super-heavy turbolasers followed, their green fire raking across the enemy lines, shattering shields and splitting frigates in half.
I piloted the massive Star Destroyer like a starfighter, weaving through the enemy formation while the ship itself fought with savage fury. Debris from destroyed vessels bounced off the shields as I pushed deeper into the blockade.
*Come on,* I thought. *Show me what you've really built here.*

**30 Minutes Later**
The *Terminus* was bleeding. Shields were down to thirty-seven percent. Multiple decks were venting atmosphere, and fires raged in the engineering sections. Yet the ship still fought, its guns roaring defiance as it carved a burning path through the Geonosian fleet.
"Sir, incoming communication on an open channel," Ethan reported.
"Put it through."
The main viewscreen flickered, and the image of Itsuki appeared — the false hero, the traitor who had sold out his own world for power. He sat in what looked like a Geonosian command throne, surrounded by buzzing drones and holographic displays.
"So, Dagon," Itsuki said with a mocking smile, "or should I call you Shield Hero? You finally came."
Dagon's voice was cold steel. "Traitor. You betrayed your own world for Skynet, and now you come here to finish your masters' work."
Itsuki laughed — a hollow, mechanical sound. "Skynet was merely the beginning. The true power lies here, on Geonosis. You think you can stop what's coming? The Death Star will burn your precious Republic to ash. Even you, with all your tricks, cannot stand against a weapon capable of destroying planets."
Dagon let the Demon Dragon Emperor's presence rise within him, his eyes flashing with draconic crimson. "You speak of power as if you understand it. You're nothing but a puppet dancing on strings. When I'm done here, there won't be enough of you left to bury."
Itsuki's smile faltered for a fraction of a second. "Brave words from a man flying a single damaged ship. Come then, 'Demon of the Shield.' Face what true power looks like."
The transmission cut.
Dagon gripped the controls tighter. "Ethan, full power to forward weapons. We're breaking through."

**Dagon POV**
Scanners screamed as a new contact appeared — massive, impossible in scale. A spherical battle station, 120 kilometers in diameter, hung in orbit above Geonosis like a metal moon. Its surface was covered in countless weapon emplacements, hangar bays, and structural frameworks still under construction. A partially completed superlaser dish dominated one hemisphere, glowing with ominous red energy.
"So this is your plan," Dagon whispered, awe and fury mixing in his voice. "A Death Star…"
He could feel the dark side radiating from the station — twisted, hungry, and unstable. Aubrey Wren's handiwork. A weapon built not just for war, but for vengeance.
"So be it," Dagon said, his voice hardening with resolve. "If you want to play god, I'll show you what real power looks like."
He pushed the *Terminus* forward, straight toward the monstrous station, even as the remaining Geonosian fleet closed in from all sides. The brightest star was about to be born — and it would burn everything in its path.
