**Chapter 671: The Reckoning of Iziz**
**Scene 1**
**Onderon Orbit**
**Annihilator Bridge**
**Dagon POV**
The *Annihilator* hung like a blade over Onderon, its 18-kilometer length casting a shadow that swallowed entire cities below. I stood at the center of the bridge, arms crossed, watching the tactical display as the last remnants of the Separatist defense fleet tried — and failed — to form any meaningful resistance.
The Treaty of Iziz had been an accord signed early in the Clone Wars, under which Onderon, ruled by the puppet King Sanjay Rash, had allied itself with the Confederacy of Independent Systems. That made Onderon a strategic threat — a CIS foothold deep in the Inner Rim, capable of launching raids or supporting larger offensives. With the Separatists now in full retreat across multiple fronts, it was time to finish what they had started.
"Thirty Munificent-class frigates," the tactical officer reported. "One Providence-class carrier. Eight Lucrehulk-class battleships."
I gave a single nod. "Open fire."
The *Annihilator* answered with overwhelming force.
Its super-heavy turbolasers and energy mass drivers lit up the void in brilliant green. The enemy fleet lasted barely a minute. Munificents disintegrated under concentrated barrages, their thin armor no match for the dreadnought's firepower. A Lucrehulk tried to turn and bring its heavy weapons to bear, only to be torn in half by a single salvo from the *Annihilator*'s forward batteries. The Providence carrier managed to launch a pathetic wave of Vultures before it too vanished in a fireball.
"Enemy fleet eliminated," the officer confirmed, voice steady. "No survivors."
I exhaled slowly. "Good. Begin planetary assault preparations. Target droid concentrations in Iziz first. Minimize civilian casualties where possible."
The bridge crew moved with practiced efficiency. This was no longer just war — it was cleanup. The CIS had overreached, and now they were paying for it.
**Scene 2**
**Iziz, Onderon Surface**
**Dagon POV**
Eight Warden-class dropships screamed through the atmosphere, flanked by fifty TIE Defenders and thirty MAAT gunships. Below them, the ancient city of Iziz sprawled across the jungle-covered hills, its stone towers and spires gleaming under the sun.
Task Force 141 led the assault — elite clone Supercommandos in customized beskar armor, supported by Mandalorian warriors who had sworn allegiance after the events on Concordia. Their jetpacks left glowing trails as they descended ahead of the main force.
I jumped from the lead Warden, Wrath Shield active in its rocket configuration. The dark red-and-black armor propelled me downward like a comet. As I landed in the central square, droid forces turned to engage — hundreds of B1s and B2s, supported by AAT tanks and droidekas.
The slaughter began.
My crossguard lightsaber ignited in a blaze of unstable red energy as I carved through the first wave. Supercommandos hit the ground around me, their heavy blaster cannons ripping apart droid formations. Mandalorians followed, shouting war cries as they unleashed wrist rockets and flamethrowers into clustered enemy groups.
"Push them toward the palace!" I shouted over comms. "The false king is ours!"
A squad of B2 super battle droids tried to hold a barricade. I raised my shield arm and unleashed a concentrated blast of dark energy, vaporizing them in a storm of crimson lightning. Behind me, TIE Defenders screamed overhead, their lasers stitching precise lines of death across droid columns.
The battle was never in doubt. Within hours, Iziz was secured. The imprisoned true king, Ramsis Dendup, was freed from his cell beneath the palace. He stood tall despite weeks of captivity, gratitude shining in his eyes as he clasped my forearm.
"You have my eternal thanks, General Marek," he said. "Onderon will not forget this day."
I nodded. "Then rule wisely. The Republic will leave a small garrison — five hundred clones and three Venators — to ensure stability. No more CIS footholds here."
As the sun set over Iziz, I gave the order. The *Annihilator* broke orbit and jumped toward Coruscant.
It was time to deal with the fallout.
**Scene 3**
**Coruscant Orbit**
**Annihilator Bridge**
**Dagon POV**
The journey back to Coruscant gave me time to reflect. The *Annihilator* had proven itself beyond all expectations — a mobile fortress capable of shifting the balance of any engagement. But the war was far from over. The CIS offensive had been broken, yet new threats were already emerging.
Through the Force bond, I felt the girls waiting for me. Their relief, their pride, their love. It grounded me.
As the massive dreadnought dropped out of hyperspace above the capital world, I stood on the bridge and stared down at the scarred but still-beating heart of the Republic.
"Prepare a shuttle," I ordered quietly. "It's time to face the Senate."
The real battle — the political one — was only beginning.
