Chapter 688 - Chapter 663 Open war part 3

**Chapter 663: Annihilator Awakens**

**Scene 1**

**Benath Orbit, Grey Wolf**

**Dagon POV**

The observation deck of the *Grey Wolf* offered one of the best views in the fleet. I stood with my arms crossed, watching as the final systems checks completed on the *Annihilator*. The girls were gathered around me, along with admirals Grace, Dittmar, and Kinaun. Their stunned silence said more than words ever could.

To say they were surprised would be the understatement of the century.

The *Annihilator*-class Star Dreadnought — or Annihilator-class Super Star Destroyer — was the beginning of a new era. The era of true super capital ships.

It stretched an impossible 18,000 meters in length, with a width of 4,000 meters and height of 3,000 meters. Its long, thin, arrow-shaped hull featured a broad ridge running along roughly three-quarters of the dorsal face, ending just forward of the tapering fan-tail that overhung the primary ion engines. Twenty-eight aft thrusters gave it terrifying acceleration for a vessel of its size.

**Armament:**

- XX Ultra Heavy Cannons (20, fire-linked in groups of 2) — each 150 meters in size with enough firepower to instantly destroy an enemy capital ship

- XX-10 Super Heavy Turbolaser (675)

- XX-9 Turbolaser Battery (345)

- Dual XX-8 Heavy Turbolaser Cannons (3,400, fire-linked in groups of 8)

- Turbolaser Cannons (3,400, fire-linked in groups of 8)

- Ion Cannons (150)

- Assault Concussion Missile Tubes (550; 40 missiles each)

- Point-Defense Laser Cannons (1,000)

- Heavy Tractor Beam Projectors (120)

**Crew:** 53,000 officers, 140,000 enlisted, 22,000 troopers

**Complement:** 120 starfighters, numerous shuttles, landing craft, gunboats, assault craft, landing barges, ground combat vehicles, and AT-series walkers

**Powered by:** 8 SFS I-a2b solar ionization reactors and 3 modified kyber matrix cores

**Shielding:** Deflector shield + internal and external security shields

**Hull:** Quadanium steel

MGLT: 50

Maximum atmospheric speed: 100 kilometers per hour

The ship also featured static hyperspace fields, huge computer arrays, integrated tram systems, waste heat sinks, onboard factories and production lines (including droid and ground vehicle manufacturing zones), research & development labs, raw material reserves with durasteel foundries, and even an onboard farm.

It was a mobile fortress. A city killer. A weapon capable of changing the face of galactic warfare.

Grace finally found her voice. "That… is not a ship. That's a mobile battle station."

Dittmar simply stared, speechless. Kinaun let out a low whistle.

I smiled faintly. "And soon it will be ready for battle."

**Scene 2**

**Grey Wolf, Command Center**

**Dagon POV**

I turned away from the viewport and activated the strategic holomap. Intelligence reports painted a troubling picture.

Umbara would fall. The people there were furious — their senator had been assassinated, just like Onaconda Farr. I didn't particularly care what happened to Padmé's faction, but the invasion of Umbara gave me access to their advanced electromagnetic plasma weapons. So I had pulled most of the fleet from that world, leaving only a single Venator and four light cruisers with orders to retreat rather than engage.

Duro had been reinforced with fifteen Nebula-class Star Destroyers. Brentaal IV was receiving Jan Dodonna and his MC80A cruisers — a perfect chance to test the effectiveness of X-wing and Y-wing tactics in real combat.

The girls gathered around the holotable, studying the same data.

"Corellia is next," Kayla said quietly. "If Selonia falls, the entire Core becomes vulnerable."

I nodded. "Which is why we're not waiting. We strike first."

**Scene 3**

**Grey Wolf, Private Quarters**

**Dagon POV**

Later that night, as the fleet prepared for the next jump, I found a rare moment of peace with the girls. Zule curled against my side, her head on my chest. Ahsoka traced idle patterns on my arm. Shin watched us with soft eyes.

"You're carrying the weight of everything again," Shin murmured. "The new ships, the alliances, the coming battles… When do you rest?"

I smiled, pulling them closer. "When the galaxy does. Until then… I have all of you."

The bond between us glowed warmly, a quiet reassurance in the face of the storm ahead.

Tomorrow, we would jump toward the next front.

But tonight, we simply held each other
