Chapter 651 - Chapter 626

**Chapter 628**

**Jedi Temple – Grand Master's Quarters, Coruscant**

**Dagon POV**

The newly assigned Grand Master's quarters felt both too large and too small at the same time. The high, vaulted ceilings and wide windows overlooking the Temple gardens were meant to inspire awe and reflection. Instead, they only reminded me how far this path had taken me from the solitary soldier I once was. I stood at the center of the main chamber, still wearing the modified Temple Guard robes over my armor, the Wrath Shield resting against the wall like a silent guardian.

"How did it come to this?" I muttered to myself, running a hand through my white hair. The red-and-black spiral in my eyes reflected faintly in the polished floor. "I wanted to be a Jedi Lord… not the leader of an Order that's fracturing under my feet."

Kayla entered quietly from the side room, her zeltron grace evident even in simple robes. She crossed the distance and wrapped her arms around me from behind, resting her chin on my shoulder. "You're carrying the weight of the galaxy again," she whispered. "Let us help. You don't have to do this alone."

I leaned back into her warmth, closing my eyes for a moment. "I know. But every decision I make now affects thousands — younglings, Knights, entire worlds. The Senate is watching. The Separatists are watching. And the Force… it feels like it's holding its breath."

Shin entered next, followed by Aayla and Zule. They moved with the easy familiarity of family, gathering around the low table where a holographic map of the galaxy floated. The Hydian Way and Perlemian Trade Route glowed with Republic control markers, while Felucia and the Allied Tion sector shone with fresh victory indicators.

"We've received preliminary reports from Mandalore," Shin said, activating a smaller display. "Yoda has already begun training sessions with the Children of the Watch. Satine is… adjusting. The alliance is holding, but there are still factions loyal to Vizsla's remnants. Bo-Katan and her Nite Owls have gone underground."

Aayla nodded, her lekku twitching slightly. "The Cinder satellites are en route. Ryloth's recovery is accelerating, and we can replicate the success on several border worlds. Food production should stabilize within the month."

Zule leaned against the table, arms crossed. "But the real problem is here. The Temple is splitting. Almost half the Service Corps has left to join other Jedi sects. The remaining Masters are… uneasy. Some see your reforms as necessary. Others view them as heresy."

I exhaled slowly. "We knew this would happen. The old Code was too rigid for the war we're fighting. Emotion yet peace. Passion yet serenity. We can't pretend attachments don't exist when love is what keeps us human."

Kayla kissed the side of my neck gently. "And us? The harem? How do we handle that publicly now that you're Grand Master?"

I turned in her arms, pulling her closer. "We don't hide. But we don't flaunt it either. The Temple already knows. The Senate suspects. Let them talk. Our bond is our strength — not a weakness."

Shin smiled faintly. "Speaking of strength… the new Padawans are progressing well. Kass Tod and Mak Lotor are already showing promise in lightsaber forms. Finn Ertay and Lakas have taken to the breathing techniques faster than expected."

A soft chime interrupted us. The door slid open, revealing Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker. Both looked exhausted but determined.

"Grand Master," Obi-Wan greeted formally, though his eyes held a hint of the old camaraderie. "We have updates from Mygeeto. Master Windu's forces have secured two more cities, but the Separatists are reinforcing heavily. Plo Koon reports heavy losses in orbital skirmishes."

Anakin stepped forward, his voice tight. "And Kamino… the cloning facilities are stable, but there are rumors of sabotage attempts. I've increased security, but I still feel like we're missing something."

I nodded, gesturing for them to sit. "We'll address Mygeeto soon. But first — the peace conference. It's a trap. Palpatine knows it. We know it. But we must attend to expose the manipulation. The real war is about to begin."

The group gathered around the holographic map as I began outlining the next phase — reinforcements for Mygeeto, diplomatic overtures to remaining neutral systems, and the quiet expansion of the Mern 13 into a true protective force for the Jedi Order.

Outside the windows, Coruscant's endless lights glittered like stars. The galaxy was changing. And whether the Jedi — or the Republic — were ready for it remained to be seen.

**Scene 2**

**Jedi Temple – Training Grounds**

**Ahsoka Tano POV (Newly Knighted)**

Ahsoka Tano moved through the training forms with focused precision, her dual green lightsabers a blur of light. Zule sparred beside her, their styles complementing each other — Ahsoka's fluid agility against Zule's aggressive, powerful strikes. The newly knighted pair had taken it upon themselves to oversee the younger Padawans' morning drills.

"Again!" Ahsoka called, deflecting a training bolt from one of the remote droids. "Keep your center. The Force flows through you — don't fight it."

A group of wide-eyed younglings watched from the sidelines, whispering excitedly. One small Togruta girl — barely eight years old — clutched her training saber tightly, eyes shining with admiration.

Shin Wren approached from the side, her purple-accented armor replaced with simpler training robes. "They're progressing well," she said, watching the younglings. "But many are scared. The news of the Council changes… it's spreading faster than we expected."

Zule deactivated her blades, breathing heavily. "They should be. The old Masters leaving… it feels like the Order is breaking apart. But Dagon's vision — allowing families, emotional connections, real training — it's what we need."

Ahsoka nodded, clipping her sabers to her belt. "I just hope the rest of the galaxy sees it that way. The Senate is already whispering about 'Jedi overreach.' And with the peace conference coming…"

Shin placed a hand on Ahsoka's shoulder. "We face it together. As family."

The three women shared a quiet moment of solidarity as the younglings resumed their drills. The Force felt turbulent, but beneath the chaos was a spark of hope — fragile, but real.

**Scene 3**

**Jedi Temple – Grand Master's Balcony**

**Dagon POV**

I stood alone on the private balcony overlooking the Temple gardens, the night breeze of Coruscant carrying distant sounds of speeder traffic. The weight of the Grand Master title still felt foreign, like armor that hadn't been broken in yet.

*Girls,* I sent through the bond, *status?*

Kayla's warmth reached me first. *All quiet. The younglings are asleep. Shin and Aayla are reviewing the new Code with the remaining Knights.*

*Good,* I replied. *We move carefully. The peace conference is a trap, but we'll turn it to our advantage.*

I looked up at the stars, wondering how many more battles lay ahead. The Force whispered of greater threats — Mygeeto, the Core, and shadows beyond even Sidious.

But for tonight, I allowed myself one moment of peace.
