**Chapter 625**
**Scene 1**
**Mandalore – Under Sundari, Living Waters**
**Dagon POV**
The Living Waters chamber deep beneath Sundari was unlike anything I had ever seen. Ancient Mandalorian architecture blended seamlessly with natural cave formations, the walls carved with faded runes and clan symbols from a time when warriors ruled the stars. The sacred pool itself glowed with an ethereal blue light, fed by underground springs said to carry the essence of Mandalore's ancestors. The air was cool and heavy with moisture, carrying a faint metallic tang that reminded me of beskar.
I stood beside Duchess Satine Kryze and Master Yoda, stripped down to simple ceremonial robes provided by the Children of the Watch. The water lapped gently at our feet as the elder — an old Mandalorian with weathered armor and a long white beard — began the ritual. He dipped a ceremonial bowl into the pool and poured the sacred water over each of us in turn.
"I swear on my name and the names of the ancestors," the elder intoned, his voice echoing through the cavern, "that I shall walk the Way of the Mand'alor… and the words of the Creed shall be forever forged in my heart. This is the Way."
"This is the Way," Satine, Yoda, and I replied in unison, our voices blending together.
The elder raised his hands. "Satine of Clan Kryze, Dagon of House Marek, and Yoda of Clan Jedi have been redeemed."
A rounded applause rose from the gathered Mandalorians — warriors from multiple clans, including the Children of the Watch who had helped orchestrate this moment. But the cheers quieted as I raised my hands, signaling for silence. The chamber fell still, every eye fixed on me.
"Mandalorians," I began, my voice carrying clearly through the cavern, "as I speak now, I understand that while you wish to fight, you cannot. There is war across the galaxy, and we must face it together. Mandalore will remain neutral. But as Duchess Satine is in charge, and Master Yoda has decided to stay for the changes of Mand'alor, I offer this."
I held up the Darksaber, its black blade humming to life with a sharp snap-hiss. The ancient weapon cast eerie shadows across the gathered warriors.
"It is not ours. It was of Clan Vizsla. But a simple Jedi it is not Mandalore. *This* is Mandalore."
With a deliberate motion, I threw the Darksaber high into the air. It spun once before plunging into the center of the Living Waters with a brilliant splash. For a heartbeat, nothing happened. Then the waters churned violently. A massive shape rose from the depths — the legendary Mythosaur, its skeletal form glowing with ethereal blue energy, summoned by the combined will of the Force and the ancient waters. The creature let out a deep, resonant roar that shook the cavern walls before nodding once in acknowledgment and sinking back into the sacred pool.
The Mandalorians fell to their knees in awe.
"I bend the knee to Duchess Satine," I declared, dropping to one knee, "and swear alliance as the Grand Master of the Order."
"I bend the knee to Duchess Satine," Yoda echoed, his small form kneeling beside me, "and swear alliance as Yoda of Clan Jedi."
One by one, the Mandalorians bowed their heads or dropped to their knees. The Children of the Watch were the first, their voices ringing out with pride. Even the more skeptical warriors followed, the weight of the Mythosaur's appearance too profound to ignore.
"This is the Way," I said firmly.
"This is the Way!" the Mandalorians replied in unison, their voices thundering through the chamber like a war cry reborn.
**Scene 2**
**Mandalorian Royal Palace, Sundari**
**Satine Kryze POV**
The royal palace felt different now — lighter, yet heavier with the implications of what had just transpired. Satine Kryze stood on the grand balcony overlooking the city, the cool night breeze of the dome's artificial atmosphere brushing against her skin. Master Yoda and Dagon Marek stood with her, the weight of the new alliance still settling over all of them.
"Must you leave so soon?" Satine asked, turning to Dagon. Her voice carried a mix of reluctance and quiet sadness. The Jedi General had brought chaos, but also hope — something she hadn't felt in a long time.
Dagon nodded, his multicolored armor catching the soft city lights. "As Grand Master of the Order and with only five days before the Senate peace conference — which will fail — there is still a lot to do. Plus, you have Yoda around now."
Yoda smiled faintly, adjusting the small, custom-fitted armor set he now wore — a respectful gift from the Mandalorians. "Yes. This is such a surprise, but perhaps a change of pace for me. As protector, training the future on a good path, I shall."
Dagon offered Yoda his lightsaber, which the small Master accepted with a grateful nod.
"The old take care of the young, then the young take care of the old," Dagon said softly. "This is the Way."
Satine watched the exchange with a bittersweet smile. "Peace will come eventually, to you, Dagon. You're going to struggle. So you need to surround yourself with people you trust. You're a good man with a good heart. And it's hard for a good man to be a leader."
Dagon bowed deeply. "Thank you, Master Yoda. Duchess… the new Cinder satellites will arrive shortly."
As the Lambda-class shuttle lifted off from the royal platform, Satine stood watching it disappear into the night sky. Yoda remained behind — now Mandalor's Jedi protector, standing alongside her as a symbol of the fragile new alliance. The weight of leadership felt lighter knowing she was no longer alone.
**Scene 3**
**Hyperspace – Lambda-class Shuttle**
**Dagon POV**
The blue tunnel of hyperspace stretched endlessly before us. Chewbacca sat in the co-pilot seat, letting out a low, thoughtful growl as he adjusted the navigation controls.
"Yep, don't worry," I said, reaching over to pat the Wookiee's massive shoulder. "We will see each other again when the galaxy is at peace."
Chewbacca roared softly in agreement, his loyalty unwavering. The big Wookiee had become more than just a companion — he was family now, a steadfast ally in a galaxy full of shifting allegiances.
I leaned back in the pilot's seat, letting the hum of the shuttle's engines wash over me. Mandalore was secure. An alliance had been forged. Yoda would guide them, and the Darksaber's loss had been replaced by something far greater — the Mythosaur's blessing and the unity of the clans under Satine's rule.
The war was far from over, but for the first time in months, I felt a small measure of hope.
