**Chapter 607**
**Scene 1**
**Jedi High Council Chamber**
**Dagon POV**
"Master Dagon, you assume this Mandalorian who attacked our ship to be part of this 'Death Watch'?" Obi-Wan asked, his expression cautious but attentive.
I gave a small nod toward Kit Fisto. "Master Fisto, apart from Yoda and Plo Koon, you are what I consider one of the more free-spirited Jedi in the Order," I said, earning a light chuckle from Kit Fisto.
"Can you say for certain this is the most secure group for the news I am about to share?" I asked, my voice turning deadly serious.
Kit looked to Yoda, received a slow nod, and pressed a few buttons on his console. The blinds closed with a soft hiss, and the High Council Chamber went into full lockdown — no transmissions in or out, maximum security protocols engaged.
I activated a small holoprojector from my gauntlet. An old, slightly degraded recording from the Colicoids began playing — a secret they had kept for years.
"As few of you being the Masters I told, I recently discovered the identity of the Sith Lord we have been looking for. This recording, kept secret by the Colicoids after I liberated them three years before Naboo, shows various droid companies were acquired, including our Trade Federation."
Gasps rippled through the chamber. Most Masters looked shocked. Yoda, Oppo Rancisis, Even Piell, Saesee Tiin, Ki-Adi-Mundi, and Kit Fisto remained more composed, though their eyes sharpened with focus.
Some Jedi questioned aloud. Others asked if Mace and Plo knew. Obi-Wan looked downcast, his face pale with realization.
"Right. Him being a Muun means that, as we know, would explain the funds he acquired to create the CIS army. And then it comes to the Mandalorian — as a Sith Lord, he might have had a hand in the death of the True Mandalorians and the previous mission on Mandalore with the late Qui-Gon Jinn and Master Kenobi," I explained.
"Master Kenobi, please share with General Dagon the news you have learned of our bounty hunter friend," Yoda requested.
Obi-Wan cleared his throat. "My investigation of the bounty hunter Jango Fett led to Kamino. The Kaminoans recounted that it was Jedi Master Sifo-Dyas who ordered the production of a clone army. But the bounty hunter said he was hired by a man named Tyrannus. It could be that Tyrannus works as well as this Darth Sidious."
**Scene 2**
"Tyrannus? Tyrannus!" I yelled, shocking several Masters. "Obi-Wan, where did you hear that word?"
"The bounty hunter. Why?" Kenobi asked, surprised by my intensity.
"Tyranus — or Darth Tyranus — is a Sith name inspired by 'tyrant.' Much like Plagueis names 'plague' and Sidious 'insidious,' meaning treacherous or stealthy. And Maul derives from 'to maul,' suggesting brutal and violent attacks. Nox explained as historic archive for the Sith Empire, way before the Rule of Two there were what you say 'weirdos' in the Sith Empire," I explained.
"Define 'weirdos,' Dagon," Master Even Piell asked.
"Well, you got the Dark Council, Sith Lords, Sith Marauders, assassins, brutes, then something similar to soldiers, and at the bottom weirdos — you know, cults, creepy guys with experiments, always scheming and plotting. And the reason why the Sith Empire never stayed strong was due to infighting," I explained, getting some light laughter from a few Masters.
"Anyway, after Darth Bane created the Rule of Two, all these weirdos became Sith Lords taking their strange names," I continued.
"But four Sith Lords? That means not the Rule of Two, and we only know that Obi-Wan killed one," Shaak Ti asked.
"Dooku said the Senate was in control of the Sith Lord, right Obi-Wan? But based on how you say Dooku acted, and now he is Tyrannus, wouldn't you say?" I replied.
"Even still, what should we do about the Mandalorians?" Oppo Rancisis asked.
"Simple. We make them our allies," I said.
**Scene 3**
A couple of arguments broke out immediately.
"Master Dagon, allying with Mandalorians? They are mercenaries at best, terrorists at worst," Adi Gallia said sharply.
"Death Watch has been a thorn in the side of the Republic for centuries," Even Piell added.
I raised my hand for silence. "Look, it's no secret we are at a disadvantage. A possible clone army that might betray us since we know our enemy created it for us. We need allies loyal if we are to survive. And the Darksaber — it is the key."
I projected the image of the Darksaber again.
"Whoever wields it can rule all of Mandalore. According to Mandalorian custom, one could only obtain the Darksaber by defeating the previous owner in combat. Should they have claimed it any other way, their claim was considered illegitimate," I explained.
"Send Obi-Wan, we should. A good relationship with the past might solve this problem," Shaak Ti suggested.
"No," I said firmly, interrupting her.
