Chapter 614 - Chapter 590

**Chapter 590**

**Scene 1**

**Grey Wolf – Private Quarters**

**Dagon POV**

The ship's artificial night cycle had settled over the *Grey Wolf*, the lights dimmed to a soft glow. I lay in the center of the large bed, surrounded by the warmth of my girls. Ahsoka curled against my chest, her montrals brushing my shoulder. Zule spooned behind me, one arm draped over my waist. Erictia and Sakura nestled on either side, their bodies soft and relaxed in sleep. The others — Shin, Stella, Flare, Kayla, Visenya, and Aayla — were scattered in a comfortable tangle of limbs and blankets, the Force bond humming with peaceful contentment.

It had been a long day of planning the next phase after Felucia. Everyone needed rest.

Then Ahsoka jerked violently in my arms.

Her breathing quickened, her body tensing as if she were fighting something invisible. I felt the spike of fear through the bond before she even woke.

"Ahsoka?" I whispered, gently shaking her shoulder.

Her eyes snapped open, wide with terror. "Dagon!!" she screamed, bolting upright.

The room erupted into chaos.

"Huh?" Aayla mumbled, startled awake, sitting up with her lekku twitching.

"What?" Stella groaned, rubbing her eyes as she pushed herself up.

"Dagon!" Shin yelped, accidentally shoving me off the bed in her sudden movement.

"It's a trap—oww!" I grunted as I hit the floor, the impact jarring but not painful thanks to the armor-like resilience of the Wrath Shield's passive form.

"What—Dagon, where—oww!" Erictia tumbled off the bed right on top of me, looking confused and half-asleep.

"What?" Kayla muttered, sitting up quickly.

"Ahh!" Visenya yelped, startled into full wakefulness.

"Hm? Are we under attack?" Sakura asked, her purple eyes blinking rapidly as she sat up.

"Huh… hmm…" Flare mumbled, rolling over and going right back to sleep, completely unbothered.

The girls were in various states of undress — some naked, others in delicate night lingerie, mostly Zeltron designs that left little to the imagination. I was in just the flexible black pants formed by the Wrath Shield's default mode.

Ahsoka was breathing hard, tears glistening in her eyes. I sat up, gently pushing Erictia aside as I reached for her.

"Ahsoka, what happened?" I asked, my voice low and concerned, pulling her into my arms. "Talk to me. Was it a vision? A nightmare?"

She buried her face in my chest, trembling slightly. "I… I saw things. Flashes. Sand dunes… lightsabers… fleets clashing… blood on ice… loneliness in a cell… marching boots… It felt so real, but it didn't make sense. Like pieces of a future that hasn't happened."

I held her tighter, one hand stroking her back while the other cradled her head. "Hey… hey, it's okay. You're safe. We're all safe. Whatever you saw, it's not here. Not now. I'm right here with you. All of us are. Nothing's going to take you away from me — from us. I promise."

Ahsoka sniffled, relaxing slightly in my embrace. "It felt like… I was losing everything. Like I was alone again."

"You're never alone," I whispered, kissing the top of her head. "Not anymore. We've been through too much together. The bond won't let us be separated like that. If the future tries to pull something like that, we'll fight it. Together."

The other girls gathered closer, offering their own comfort. Shin rubbed Ahsoka's shoulder gently. Zule leaned in, pressing a soft kiss to her cheek. Erictia and Sakura cuddled in from the sides, their presence warm and reassuring.

"You're stuck with us, Snips," I added with a small smile, using her old nickname. "No getting rid of any of us. Especially not me."

Ahsoka let out a watery laugh, wiping her eyes. "Yeah… I know. Sorry for waking everyone up."

**Scene 2**

Sakura, still cuddled against my side, looked up at me with a soft, hopeful smile. "Dagon… maybe you could sing us that special song? The one you used to sing to me back then. It always helped when I had bad dreams."

I blushed, rubbing the back of my neck. "No… that's not something I'd like to be remembered for in this life."

"Why? Is it bad?" Shin asked, curious, tilting her head.

"No," Sakura said quickly, her eyes lighting up. "It was the best song ever. It showed why Dagon is so complicated with his emotions and actions. Please?"

The girls eventually begged, their voices a chorus of soft pleas and affectionate teasing. Even Ahsoka, still shaken, gave me a hopeful look.

"Fine," I sighed, activating the Wrath Shield's music function. The shield hummed, projecting a soft, acoustic melody that filled the room with gentle guitar-like strumming.

"Dawn birds sing, sing me a lullaby," I began, my voice low and surprisingly smooth, carrying the old resistance song I used to sing to the orphans.

"Where the ancient trees watch on the quiet hedgerows

River run, run through the fields of green and gold

Whisper your words so clear when I grow old

Silver moon, shine on the cobwebs in the night

Sparkling like the stars, in the pale moonlight

Silent song, carry our dreams into the dawn

And leave us peace in our soul

When summer's gone…"

By the second verse, the girls had relaxed completely. Ahsoka's breathing evened out, her head resting on my chest. Zule's arm tightened around me. Erictia and Sakura snuggled closer, their eyes growing heavy. Shin smiled softly as she listened, and the others drifted off one by one.

Tears glistened on a few cheeks — not from sadness, but from the raw emotion in the song. It was a lullaby of survival, hope, and quiet strength — the same things that had kept me going through fifty years of war.

When the last note faded, the room was filled with peaceful breathing. The girls were all asleep, curled around me in a warm, loving pile.

'I ain't gonna live this down,' I noted mentally, a small, embarrassed smile on my face as I collapsed back into the harem bed, pulling the blanket over all of us.

For tonight, at least, the war could wait.
