Henry's POV
Henry Stuart loved his daughter.
That was something that was his greatest strength and also a massive weakness. But just because he loved his daughter, it did not mean that Henry trusted her.
Over the years, Gwendolyn had burned him too many times for Henry to be truly blind to the fact that she was not really what many would call a good person. As a result of that, despite keeping his distance in order to not make Ryan Terrell aware of the help that he had given his daughter, Henry had been keeping an eye on her.
He had not been too intrusive about it. All he had done was simply make sure that he knew of her vague whereabouts.
When she had still been in the city, Henry had been fully aware of that fact. Just knowing that she was so close to danger had made him feel like he was aging by decades with each day that had passed.
