Ryan's POV
There was a very real chance that Ryan had just killed Gwendolyn Stuart the fourth. He had definitely thrown her with enough force to break something, or at least leave behind some very nasty bruising.
But he did not have any time to spare for his ex. He was too busy making sure that his wife was fine.
As much as it pained him, Ryan stepped away from her. His eyes frantically roaming over her, breathing a sigh of relief when he found no injuries.
Despite her lack of injuries, his heart would not settle. She had nearly died again.
Vivian could have been gone and he would have been fast asleep, unaware that anything was wrong.
When he'd first woken up, he'd thought that he was hearing somebody call his name, but he had not been too sure. The only reason that he had even come up top was because he'd realized that Vivian was not below deck with him.
The sight that had greeted him, when he'd gone up was something that he did not wish to ever see again.
