Jay's POV
"You motherfucker!"
Keifer's voice exploded through the air.
Before I could even react...
He pushed Jason
Hard
"Keifer!"
I screamed.
But he didn't stop.
He grabbed Jason and started punching him.
Again.
And again.
"KEIFER!"
I rushed toward them.
"STOP!"
But they weren't listening.
Jason pushed him away, but Keifer came right back at him.
He was furious.
Heartbroken.
And I knew exactly why.
To him...
Everything he had just seen was real.
Every punch he threw...
Was because he thought I had betrayed him.
"Keifer, please!"
I tried to get between them.
"Stop! Please!"
But Jason pushed him away again
This time...
With so much force...
Keifer stumbled backward
His balance disappeared.
And then—
THUD
His head hit the stone edge of the road.
Everything stopped.
"Keifer!"
My heart stopped.
Blood immediately started flowing from his head.
(Jay doesn't have blood trauma in this book)
I ran.
I dropped to my knees beside him.
"Keifer..."
My hands were shaking.
"Keifer, look at me."
He slowly opened his eyes
And that's when I saw it
Those eyes
They weren't angry anymore
They weren't jealous
They weren't even hurt
They were...
DEAD
Completely empty
I froze
"Keifer..."
He looked at me
For one second...
I thought he was going to yell at me.
Or push me away
Or ask me why
But he didn't.
He didn't fight Jason anymore.
He could have
He could have easily fought him with much more strength
But he didn't.
He just...
Looked at me.
Silently
As if there was nothing left inside him to fight for.
I felt my heart breaking.
"Keifer..."
My voice cracked
"I'm—"
I couldn't finish.
Yuri and David rushed over.
"Keifer!"
They helped him stand.
Blood was still running down the side of his face.
"Come on."
"Let's get you to the clinic."
They started taking him back toward the school.
I stayed on my knees.
Watching him walk away.
Watching the boy I loved...
Walk away from me.
And he didn't look back.
Not even once.
"Jay."
I slowly looked up.
Ci N was standing there.
Behind him...

Drew
Eman
Josh
Everyone.
They were all staring at me.
But this time...
There were no smiles.
No jokes.
No teasing.
Just disappointment.
And somehow...
That hurt almost as much as seeing Keifer leave
Ci N's eyes were filled with disbelief
"Jay..."
I opened my mouth.
"Ci N, I—"
But I couldn't explain.
How could I?
How could I tell them that I did it to save them?
That I had seen someone aiming at Keifer?
That Victoria was behind this?
I can't tell them anything
I had just kissed Jason.
In front of everyone.
I had just destroyed Keifer.
Mayo stepped forward.
His face was filled with anger.
"I told you."
His voice was shaking.
"I told you she's our enemy's sister."
"But none of you listened."
"You all thought she was here because of friendship."
He pointed toward the school.
"Look what she did to Keifer!"
His voice grew louder.
"She's just like her fucking brother!"
My heart shattered.
I wanted to scream.
I'm not

For Keifer
But the words stayed trapped inside my throat.
Jason suddenly walked toward me.
He reached for my hand.
"Jay..."
I looked at him.
"You need rest."
"We need to go from here."
I didn't move.
My eyes were still fixed on the direction where Keifer had disappeared.
Jason gently pulled my hand.
"Come on."
I finally stood up.
He guided me toward the car.
I walked like a ghost.
My body was moving...
But my mind was somewhere else.
With Keifer.
With the blood running down his face.
With those empty eyes.
With the way he had looked at me...
As if he didn't recognize the girl he loved anymore.
I got into the car.
Jason closed the door.
As he walked around to the driver's side...
I heard a voice behind me.
"Let's go see Keifer."
I turned around.
Ci N.
He was standing with the others.
Before I could say anything...
They all ran back toward the school clinic.
Leaving me behind.
Jason got into the car.
He started the engine.
And drove away.
I looked through the window.
The school slowly disappeared behind us.
I said nothing.
I couldn't.
I just sat there...
With my hands trembling in my lap.
And one thought kept repeating itself in my mind.
This is what Keifer felt...
When he lied to me.
This is what it felt like...
To let the person you love with your whole life let hate you
I had hated him for making me feel that way.
And now...
I had done the exact same thing to him.
And these was no difference
Keifer had betrayed me to save my life
And I had betrayed him...
To save his life
But I have done it in the worst way, I let him believe that I choosed jason over him. Just like ella and Freya choosed yuri over him I did the same. I kissed Jason infront of him. I'm sorry keifer but seeing that gun aiming at you I didn't understand what to do...if I haven't done that you could have never believed me
But did that really matter?
Because as I watched the road disappear behind us...
All I could think about was the look in his eyes.
Those empty eyes.
And for the first time...
I wondered if I had saved his life...
Only to destroy his heart completely.
