Avala climbed out of the ground with the General and Gabriel close behind her. Looking at the area around them, all they could see were tens of thousands of dead monsters and Epigones. There were pools of magma randomly spouted across the ground and the air was hot and difficult to breathe in. She coughed and waved her hand in front of her face as she stared at a massive crater in the distance.
"You definitely bought us some time by burrowing us under that stone, General. However, it looks like it wouldn't have even mattered if we got unlucky."
The General looked at the destruction and let out a hardy laugh.
"My, my. We are so outclassed it's laughable! Are you both still sure you want to go through with this fight?"
Gabreil nodded his head.
"Do we have a choice?"
"There's always a choice."
