I lie there completely spent, my body heavy like it's made of stone. Every muscle feels weak and trembling, my skin still slick with sweat from both Aquasteine and Alexis. My breathing comes slow and shallow, chest rising and falling like I just ran for miles. I can barely move my fingers, let alone sit up. The mate bond hums softly between the three of us now, a little calmer than before but still cracked with leftover anger and hurt.
Aquasteine strokes my hair gently, his jealousy still simmering but softer now. Alexis lies on my other side, his arm draped over my waist, his usual nonchalant mask back in place but his eyes still warm from what we just shared. For a moment, the room feels peaceful. Almost safe. Then the door bursts open.
Ramses stands there, his face dark and determined. Jericho and Zayne are right behind him, looking tense. The calm shatters instantly.
