I waited for Sylpheed to calm his emotions before I cautiously broached the subject. But…

While at the Atlante Mansion, I mostly had meals alone in my room, but since coming to Avalt Castle, I had breakfast and dinner together in the dining hall with others.
It wasn’t anything grand. But starting and ending the day with simple exchanges smoothed out the initial awkwardness over time.
‘That’s good.’
It meant I could ask for favors without tension, even from those I would otherwise feel awkward around.
Just before the brief breakfast time was about to end…
