Mira held Mehul tightly in her arms and slowly walked toward Leon.
Without saying a word, she wrapped one arm around him as well.
For the first time in months...
the three of them stood together.... A family.
Mira rested her forehead against Leon's chest while Mehul nestled comfortably between them.
Leon gently enclosed them both in his embrace.
He smiled.
Yet warm tears silently rolled down his cheeks. For so long, this was all he had wished for.
And now...
it was finally in his arms.
"Leo..."
Mira called softly.
He looked down at her.
"Can we go back to the villa?"
She glanced at the little boy staying peacefully against her shoulder.
"...I want to be with Mumu."
Leon understood without another word.
He smiled and nodded. "Of course."
Mira's face brightened. She looked down at the little boy and softly brushed away the strands of hair falling over his forehead.
"Mumu..."
"My baby..."
She giggled quietly, as if trying the words for the first time.
Then she turned toward the family. With a shy smile and a small wave, she excused herself and carried Mehul toward the waiting car.
Leon remained behind for a moment. His parents walked up to him.
Jina gently embraced her son.
"Leo..."
"We're so happy for you."
"You told us about Mira's memory loss."
"But today..."
"...I saw the same warmth in her eyes."
"She's happy to be with you."
Leon rested his forehead against his mother's shoulder. He allowed himself to relax.
His father, Luca, placed a reassuring hand on his back.
"Don't rush anything."
"When she's ready..."
"Bring your family home again."
Leon nodded silently.
"I will."
The journey back to Sunshine Villa was peaceful. Mira sat in the back seat with Mehul in her lap.
She spent every moment playing with him.
Sometimes she made funny faces.
Sometimes she gently tickled his tiny hands.
Every little giggle from the child made her laugh even harder.
"Ma...ma..." Mehul babbled happily, reaching up to touch her face.
Mira's eyes curved into a smile.
"Yes..."
"I'm here..." She kissed his tiny forehead.
Not long afterward, Mehul grew sleepy.
His little fingers curled around hers before his eyes slowly closed.
Watching him sleep, Mira absentmindedly stroked his hair until she, too, leaned back against the seat.
Within minutes, both mother and son had fallen asleep.
Leon quietly watched them from beside her. A gentle smile touched his lips.
Carefully, so as not to wake either of them, he lifted Mehul into his own arms and guided Mira's head onto his shoulder. She instinctively leaned closer, still asleep.
The little boy remained peacefully nestled against his father.
For the rest of the drive, Leon sat silently between the two people he loved most.
Outside, the city lights drifted past the windows.
Inside the car, there was only quiet breathing and the warmth of a family slowly finding its way back to one another.
As the gates of Sunshine Villa opened, Leon glanced down at the sleeping child in his arms.
It was Mehul's first visit to the villa.
And somehow...
it finally felt complete.
