Aezaleon stopped before the polished reception desk.
"I need a table."
"Of course, sir," Alyra maintained her polite, professional smile. "For how many guests?"
"Just—"
"No, we are dining together," Aria interrupted smoothly from the side.
Aezaleon turned his head slightly toward her, only to find her already looking directly back at him. A pleasant smile rested upon her face.
"Allow me to treat you to this meal, sir Aezaleon," she said calmly. "Consider it a proper apology for the behavior my companions displayed earlier."
Not a single trace of hesitation could be seen on her face.
Aezaleon found himself faintly amused by her actions. The young noblewoman had attached herself to him with remarkable persistence. Then again, perhaps such confidence came naturally to someone raised within the elite circles of high nobility.
After briefly exchanging a few amused remarks with Clementine inside his mind, he eventually nodded toward the receptionist, accepting Aria's proposal.
