After leaving the sisters in Shana's care, Ulrich returned to the estate and made his way toward another wing of the ground floor. Behind him, the practice yard remained quiet for the moment. Whether Airam and Hermione would keep their objections to themselves once Shana began teaching was another matter, but they had agreed to listen, and that was enough for Ulrich to leave them there.
Fabian had prepared one of the estate's many rooms at his request. Ulrich intended to use it for his usual examination of Ceres and the Thornbreath curse. She would be coming to the estate for lessons, so it made little sense to travel to New Ruben each time he needed to check whether her condition had changed. Examining her here would save them both the journey and allow him to notice any change while she was already under his care.
