Chapter 246 Tang San's Plans: Wang Dong'er's Personality is Useless!

The gates of Haotian Fort slowly closed behind Wang Dong'er.

A night breeze blew in through the door, causing the letters on the table to flip a few times before falling to the ground.

Titan stood there, staring at the closed door, and remained silent for a long time.

Niu Tian sat at the table, holding a cup of tea that had gone cold, neither drinking it nor putting it down.

The hall was so quiet that only the howling of the night wind could be heard.

Titan whirled around and roared at the door.

"What are you looking at? Get out of here!"

Several servants hiding behind the pillars shrank back and scrambled away, disappearing at the end of the corridor.

The footsteps faded into the distance, and the hall returned to deathly silence.

Titan grabbed the teacup on the table, took a sip, and didn't care that the tea had gone cold.

He slammed the cup down on the table with a thud, then plopped back into his chair, hands on his knees, head bowed.

"This girl is increasingly disregarding us," Titan's voice was low, tinged with suppressed annoyance.

Niu Tian put down his teacup, glanced at him, and didn't reply.

Titan looked up at him, his brows furrowed.

"What do we do next? She already knows about that letter. Huo Yuhao definitely knows too. This is going to be difficult to handle..."

"Then tell the higher-ups." Niu Tian interrupted him, his tone flat but each word clearly enunciated, "We must tell Lord Tang San about this."

Titan paused for a moment, then nodded.

"You're right. He needs to know."

The two did not delay any longer.

Titan stood up, walked to a stone wall deep in the hall, and placed his hand on the wall.

The patterns on the stone wall lit up for a moment, then the entire wall receded inward, revealing a secret room.

The secret room was not large, containing only a stone platform with intricate array patterns carved on it.

Titan and Niu Tian entered the secret chamber, and the stone walls closed behind them.

The two stood on either side of the stone platform, simultaneously channeling their soul power into the formation.

The patterns lit up one by one, and white light rose from the stone platform, intertwining in the air and finally condensing into a curtain of light.

A figure gradually became clear in the light screen.

Tang San sat in the palace of the God Realm, and the water mirror in front of him had changed to show the scene of the secret chamber of Haotian Fort.

His expression was indifferent, revealing neither joy nor anger.

Titan spoke first, bowing his head and clasping his hands in a fist salute.

"Lord Tang has encountered some problems."

Tang San didn't urge him, he just looked at him.

Titan recounted what had happened.

From the moment Wang Dong'er returned to Haotian Fort late at night, to the moment she kicked open the door, to the moment she questioned about the letter, to the moment she said those words, to the moment she finally slammed the door and left.

Every detail was explained without embellishment or concealment.

Tang San listened to the whole thing.

His expression didn't change much, but he tapped his fingers lightly on the armrest.

That was his habitual gesture when he was thinking, which both Titan and Niu Tian noticed.

"Rebellious daughter." Tang San's voice wasn't loud, but it carried a chill. "She's really going to rebel."

Titan and Niu Tian lowered their heads, not daring to respond.

Tang San was silent for a moment, then let out a cold laugh. The laugh was soft, but it was clearly audible in the quiet, secluded room.

"However, that's about enough." His tone returned to calm, a calmness that sent chills down one's spine. "Wang Dong'er's personality has fulfilled its purpose. I was just waiting for the right moment to take her offline."

Titan raised his head, glanced at Tang San, and then lowered his head again.

Niu Tian stood aside without saying a word.

Tang San continued, his voice neither hurried nor slow, as if he were talking about something very ordinary.

"Since she's so disobedient, let's move it forward. If she's disobedient, then she should die. Anyway, what she's worried about is that I'll hurt Huo Yuhao, right? Don't worry, I won't hurt him. I'll make good use of him."

He tapped his fingers on the armrest again.

"Wang Dong'er is dead. Her death will become a new leash, binding Huo Yuhao tightly. He will remember for the rest of his life that the person he loved most died because of him. He will feel guilty, he will be in pain, and he will desperately cultivate to become stronger. And the only one who can give him the path to becoming stronger."

Tang San's lips curled up slightly.

"Isn't this much easier than taming it slowly?"

Titan and Niu Tian exchanged a glance but neither spoke.

Tang San stopped smiling and looked at Titan and Niu Tian.

"You all go back first. Do what you need to do, but don't give anything away. I'll take care of Wang Dong'er."

Titan clasped his hands in a fist and said, "Yes."

Niu Tian also clasped his hands in a fist and said, "Your subordinate understands."

The light from the array in the secret chamber gradually faded, the light barrier dissipated, and the patterns on the stone platform dimmed. Titan and Niu Tian walked out of the secret chamber, and the stone wall closed up again, returning to its original state.

The two stood under the eaves, a cool night breeze blowing by.

Titan gazed at the night sky, remained silent for a long time, and then murmured something.

"Lord Tang is truly ruthless."

Niu Tian did not respond.

Shrek Academy, by Poseidon Lake.

When Wang Dong'er returned from Haotian Fort, it was almost dawn. She didn't stop all the way, and when she arrived at Huo Yuhao's dormitory, she raised her hand and knocked on the door.

The door opened quickly.

Huo Yuhao stood at the door, still wearing the same clothes he had worn during the day, with a section of the bandage on his chest showing.

His complexion was better than during the day, but it was still very pale, and the dark circles under his eyes were very pronounced.

Clearly, he hadn't slept all night.

He was stunned when he saw Wang Dong'er.

"Dong'er? What happened to you..."

"I've come to apologize." Wang Dong'er interrupted him, standing at the door without going in, looking at him. "That letter was made by my eldest and second uncles. I didn't know, and I didn't tell them to do it. I'm sorry."

Huo Yuhao looked at her for a moment, then shook his head.

"No need to apologize. It's not like you made them write it."

"But you went because of me." Wang Dong'er's voice lowered. "If it weren't for me, you wouldn't have received that letter, wouldn't have gone to the Ice and Fire Yin-Yang Well, and wouldn't have suffered those injuries."

Huo Yuhao paused for a moment, then said something very softly.

"I'm glad you're alright."

Wang Dong'er's eyes reddened. She didn't cry, but her lips trembled. She reached out and grabbed Huo Yuhao's wrist; his fingers were cold, but his grip was tight.

Huo Yuhao neither pulled back nor spoke. The two of them stood there at the doorway, one inside and one outside, neither moving.

After a while, Wang Dong'er let go and took a step back.

"You rest first. I'll come again tomorrow."

She turned and left. Huo Yuhao stood at the door, watching her figure disappear at the end of the corridor, and then closed the door.

In the days that followed, Shrek Academy returned to its former tranquility.

Huo Yuhao's injuries are slowly healing.

The wound on his chest had scabbed over, and the scab on his forehead had fallen off, leaving a shallow scar.

He ate with Wang Dong'er every day, trained together, and took walks together by the Sea God Lake.

Sometimes Beibei and Xu Sanshi would join in, and the group would sit on the grass by the lake, chatting about this and that.

Huo Yuhao smiled more often.

It wasn't a forced smile; it was a genuine laugh.

He thought the matter was over, that the hardest time was over.

He just needs to focus on his cultivation and spend quality time with Wang Dong'er, and everything will be alright.

Days passed by, as calm as the surface of Poseidon Lake.

Until that day.

It was an ordinary afternoon, the sun was shining brightly, casting a soft glow on the golden canopy of the Poseidon Pavilion.

Huo Yuhao and Wang Dong'er had just come out of the cafeteria and were heading to the training ground.

Beibei walked ahead of them, holding a book in her hand, reading as she went.

Xu Sanshi and Jiang Nannan walked at the very back, talking about something. Jiang Nannan smiled, and Xu Sanshi smiled back.

Everything is normal.

Then, a terrifying aura surged out from the direction of the Sea God Pavilion.

It wasn't the feeling of a slow, gradual ascent, but rather an instantaneous explosion, as if something had burst open from deep within.

An aura emanated from the top of the Sea God Pavilion, pushing outwards and pressing down on everyone.

Huo Yuhao stopped in his tracks. His spiritual eyes opened automatically in that instant, his body's instincts reacting faster than his conscious mind. He sensed that the aura was of a very high level, so high that even his martial spirit trembled slightly.

The book in Beibei's hand fell to the ground, but he didn't pick it up. He turned his head and looked in the direction of the Sea God Pavilion, his expression solemn.

Xu Sanshi stopped and shielded Jiang Nannan behind him, raising his right hand.

Wang Dong'er stood beside Huo Yuhao, her body tense, her hand unconsciously gripping Huo Yuhao's sleeve.

From the direction of the Sea God Pavilion, that aura was still rising, seemingly without end.
