Chapter 191 - Chapter 191: Forced Abdication?

Yin Zhang looked at Bibi Dong and spoke calmly.

Bibi Dong's expression instantly turned icy. Her brows knit together, and she laughed in anger.

"You want me to step down?" Her tone was filled with disbelief.

Yin Zhang nodded lightly. There was no longer any need for concealment.

"Yes. I ask the Supreme Pontiff to abdicate. Spirit Hall no longer needs you."

Bibi Dong clenched the scepter in her hand. She could not accept this outcome.

Her position as Supreme Pontiff was a crucial prerequisite for completing the Rakshasa God's Nine Trials. Without this status, she could not fulfill the trial conditions—nor could she ever become a god.

Worse still, her strength was currently suppressed. At most, she could only exert the power of a Rank 95–96 Titled Douluo.

Before, she had relied on Yue Guan and Gui Mei as her right and left hands. With them, she had been able to maintain control.

But now, both were standing behind Yin Zhang.

Had the situation already become hopeless?

Bibi Dong refused to accept it. She turned her gaze to Yue Guan and Gui Mei, her voice cold.

"Elder Ju. Elder Gui. Have even the two of you chosen to side with him?"

Yue Guan met her eyes calmly. "Yes, Your Holiness. From this moment on, we are no longer your Chrysanthemum Douluo and Ghost Douluo. Please address us by name."

Gui Mei nodded as well. "The past is the past. The present is the present. If you wish to preserve even a trace of dignity, Supreme Pontiff, please step down voluntarily."

Bibi Dong's gaze shifted—from Yin Zhang, to Qiangu Yunying, and finally to the strongest person present, Yun Shan.

Without a doubt, this action could only have been authorized by the Hall of Worship.

Yet she still refused to give up without confirmation.

"So this… is the will of the Hall of Worship?" she asked.

Yun Shan did not answer. He merely looked toward Yin Zhang.

That silence shocked Bibi Dong even more.

A newly appointed Third Priest—yet he was taking orders from Yin Zhang?

This was far beyond what Hu Liena had told her. A mere life-saving debt could never make a Rank 97 Peak Douluo submit so completely.

Yin Zhang chuckled softly.

"My dear Supreme Pontiff, what do you think? Without my teachers' approval, how could I possibly come here and ask you to step down?"

He continued, his tone unhurried.

"Don't struggle anymore. The outcome has long been decided. Even if you resist, it will change nothing."

Bibi Dong's expression darkened. "Do you think I've ruled Spirit Hall all these years for nothing? If you drive me away today, then tomorrow Spirit Hall will split apart. Those loyal to me will rise up and oppose you!"

Yin Zhang smiled faintly.

"At this point, there's no need to hide anything. We've been preparing for today for two and a half years."

"Salas, who oversees the Spirit Sanctuary in Heaven Dou City, and Wei Hu, who manages the Spirit Sanctuary in Star Luo City—they have long since returned to the Hall of Worship."

"Within Spirit City, most of your people have already defected. Those unwilling to submit have either been transferred away or dealt with."

"In truth, Bibi Dong, you've been alone for a long time."

He paused briefly, then continued.

"We waited two years only as a precaution. In fact, we could have removed you long ago."

"You should also know this—the position of Supreme Pontiff was originally granted to you by the Hall of Worship out of pity. Now that it is being taken back, you can only leave."

At those words, something in Bibi Dong finally snapped.

That past—what Qian Xunji had done to her—flashed vividly through her mind.

This position had always been hers by right.

Not out of pity.

Never out of pity!

An eerie, chilling aura burst from her body. A massive spider phantom loomed behind her, radiating murderous intent.

Yun Shan snorted coldly.

Violent wind-element spirit power surged forth as he grasped the void. A cyan longsword condensed in his hand—the manifestation of his martial spirit.

For an instant, the two pressures collided.

But Bibi Dong's spirit pressure barely held before being forced back entirely, rebounding onto herself.

Faced with Yun Shan's overwhelming killing intent, Bibi Dong staggered back.

Only now did she truly understand—she was alone.

Slowly, she withdrew her spirit power. Her voice turned hollow.

"Give me one day. I'll leave tonight."

Yin Zhang's expression remained unmoved.

"No. Today. Right now."

"If you don't leave immediately, don't even think about preserving a shred of dignity."

History was filled with those who delayed, recovered, and returned for revenge.

Even if this was a cultivation world, Yin Zhang would not give Bibi Dong that chance.

If she were allowed to linger—even briefly—there was no guarantee she wouldn't take something with her, or inflict damage upon Spirit Hall.

The safest option was for her to leave Spirit City at once.

Bibi Dong looked around the hall one last time—at Yin Zhang, Yun Shan, Yue Guan, Gui Mei.

Her grip on the scepter tightened.

Then, slowly, her fingers loosened.

The ornate scepter that symbolized the authority of the Supreme Pontiff slipped from her hand and fell to the floor.

Clang.
