ELARA'S POV.
"It's not a surprise that he's a liar. Most men who sweep us off our feet can be the best liar and manipulators," I said through the phone, gripping the armrest tightly, my jaw set, as I glanced at the woman seated beside me, struggling to stop her baby from crying.
"I… I just can't believe Alvin would try to do that to you. I'm really sorry I introduced him to you, I thought he was a gentle man and the kind of man you need to unwind." Blossom spoke softly, her voice catching slightly, a small sigh escaping her.
"Oh, I did unwind alright," I leaned forward, resting my elbows on my knees, my voice laced with bitterness. "I was in heaven until I realized he was slowly dragging me to hell. You want to know the weirdest part, he called me a monster for defending myself. Can you believe him?"
"We have to report him to the police?" She suggested, her tone firm. Her voice was distorted for a while but it went back to normal the next second.
