When the torrential downpour here gradually weakened into a drizzle, Faye Yardley took the Seven-Colored Tree and headed to the next area experiencing a rainstorm.
She continued moving from place to place like this. By noon on the third day, there were no more heavy storms anywhere in the region. In many areas, even the drizzle had stopped entirely. With no wind or rain, the sunlight remained, but so did the biting cold.
Back on her raft, Faye looked at the nearly two-meter-tall Seven-Colored Treasure Tree in front of her. She simply couldn't hide the smile on her face. The Seven-Colored Tree was no longer just a bare trunk. It was now adorned with crystal-clear, emerald-green leaves and dotted with pure white, star-shaped flowers about the size of a fingernail. Though small, the flowers emitted a rich, intense fragrance that could make one dizzy if inhaled for too long.
