Luke Chase stared in astonishment at his empty hands.
'How did the fragment in my hand just disappear?'
Olivia Wynne, holding six fragments, smiled at Luke Chase. "Thanks."
The moment she saw Luke Chase was about to make a move, Olivia Wynne was ready. While one hand reached for the platform, the other took the opportunity to snatch the fragment from his grasp.
She was so fast that she had already snatched the fragment away while Luke Chase was still momentarily stunned.
Ricky Rhodes looked at Luke Chase, his eyes crinkling with a smile. "The rules did say you could snatch fragments from your opponents."
It was a total slap in the face for Luke Chase. One moment, he was trying to steal from someone else; the next, his own and only fragment had been snatched away.
Robert Rhodes's team hadn't gotten any fragments, so they'd already given up. When Luke Chase made his move, they just backed away.
