The private room fell much quieter with William Wynne's arrival. His imposing presence was enough to make even Luke Chase, who was singing, keep glancing over. When his eyes met Olivia Wynne's stern face, he inadvertently sang a wrong note. Fortunately, he was a skilled singer and, realizing his mistake, immediately corrected his pitch.
Director Sanders sat on Olivia Wynne's other side. He greeted William Wynne, but seeing his serious expression and lack of interest in conversation, he was tactful enough not to disturb them. However, he kept watching William out of the corner of his eye, a thoughtful look on his face.
William Wynne remained seated in silence. The room had initially quieted down because of him, but it was filled with young people, after all. Before long, the lively atmosphere returned.
Amidst the singing, William Wynne said in a deep voice, "Someone will arrange for their departure shortly. You'll leave with me."
