"I... I..." Silas Thornton stammered. He stood in the center of the back garden, holding a bouquet of roses he had prepared in advance and wearing a suit Holly Wyatt had made for him.

Snowy, clinging to Mrs. Wyatt's leg, looked up at Hugh Wyatt and shot back in a hushed voice, "You're the one who's slow! You're not allowed to talk about the Lord of the Wolves like that!"
Hugh Wyatt's mouth stiffened. He glared down at the fuming Snowy but didn't argue. "Hmph."
Mia Thornton shot Hugh Wyatt an embarrassed look, then tugged on Snowy's sleeve. "Don't be so rude!"
