Left with no choice but to brace herself, she followed right behind. Just as she was about to call out to Shalma Hughes, who was marching ahead, Shalma barged straight into the CEO's office before she could even get the words out. Seeing this, Jonah Sutton froze in her tracks and gasped.
Shalma's abrupt entrance shattered the room's focused meeting atmosphere. She saw Julian Winslow had taken off his suit jacket, wearing a black vest over a blindingly white shirt. He sat leisurely on the sofa, sipping tea while listening to the reports of several executives. Even upon seeing Shalma suddenly burst into the office, his expression didn't flicker. He remained as aloof and imperious as ever.
The executives exchanged peculiar looks upon seeing Shalma. The one currently giving a report abruptly stopped speaking, freezing in place with documents in hand.
Julian raised an eyebrow, glancing at the executive who had suddenly stopped. "Did I tell you to stop?" he said lightly. "Continue."
