"In any case, I don't know much about the 'Supreme Ones' either. I just believe they truly exist."
As the butler was speaking, he caught sight of Lloyd's mournful and worried expression out of the corner of his eye and couldn't help but ask:
"What's with that look on your face?"
"Sigh... I'm just worried. These 'Supreme Ones' sound even more powerful than Saints. What if one day they suddenly decide to turn on humanity?"
Lloyd answered honestly.
This wasn't entirely needless worry. After all, he was currently pulling a scam, using the 'Supreme Ones' name as a bluff. It would be one thing if humans saw through his deception, but if a genuine Supreme One found out...
'A man who doesn't worry about the future will soon have worries in the present.'
"Can't you... think of something more positive?"
"I've always been a young man of great vision who thinks long-term. Besides, all the books I read have plots like this."
