The Forest of Serenity was indeed massive. Even divided into over a hundred zones, each one was, on average, nearly one-fifth the size of the Loran Forest—roughly equivalent to the Loran Forest's Core Area.
Between each zone was usually a buffer area, colloquially known as a boundary land.
Members from both sides could operate within these boundary lands, but if one side grew slightly stronger, they might get ideas about expansion, occupying the boundary land and redrawing the dividing line deeper into the other's territory.
This was also the most critical aspect of map updates.
After all, operating in the boundary lands was significantly safer than entering a Demon's territory directly.
