Lin Mo and the others quickly collected the loot from the Demons, leaving the carnage behind as they departed.
The quest required a relatively small number of items, so their outing today was much smoother than yesterday's. They had even gathered far more than they needed.
By the time they were finished, it wasn't even noon.
This was perfect, though. If they headed back early, they should be able to arrive before dusk.
That was the advantage of having a carriage—and one pulled by Lord Level Demons, no less.
Before, trying to return to the city in just half a day would have been far too rushed.
The battles hadn't been particularly difficult, so their Physical Consumption wasn't high. After a brief rest, they set off immediately, beginning their journey back toward the forest entrance.
Compared to the journey out, the trip back felt much more relaxed. They didn't need to worry about much, and their moods naturally lightened.
