Thankfully, Seraphina Ashworth had the foresight to hold her phone away from her ear, or the shout would have deafened her. Even Caden Reginald, sitting beside her, could hear the voice coming from the phone.
"What auspicious wind blew you in today?" Seraphina Ashworth teased, intrigued.
"A tornado, of course. A regular breeze wouldn't be strong enough for a heavyweight like me," the woman on the other end of the line retorted familiarly.
'Still the same as ever!' Seraphina Ashworth chuckled. "Where are you?"
"I'm over at The Ninth Heaven Mansion. Just got here, and I'm waiting for you!"
"Wait for me!" Seraphina Ashworth said before hanging up.
"Caden, my friend is here. I have to make a trip over to The Ninth Heaven." Seraphina Ashworth looked up at Caden Reginald, who was sitting beside her, and said with a faint smile, "Want to come with?"
"No, I'll go pick you up later," Caden Reginald said softly, ruffling Seraphina Ashworth's long hair.
