Fine snow fluttered through the air, lending a sacred chill to the city of Aethelburg. The entire landscape was cloaked in a beautiful, frigid world of silver.
The snow continued to fall, growing heavier by the moment. A thin layer of white blanketed the courtyard of the Ashworth Residence, and even the once-vibrant flowers were now dusted with flecks of snow.
While snow danced wildly outside, the living room of the Ashworth Residence was brightly lit, filled with a cozy warmth. It was Friday, so Maurice Ashworth and the others were back from school. Before long, almost everyone had gathered.
"I'm freezing, I'm freezing! I'm going to freeze to death!" Cecilia Ashworth exclaimed as she stepped inside, shrugging off her heavy coat and rubbing her hands together.
'I can't believe it. I was only out with Jasmine for a moment, and the snow just had to start then. And it's getting even heavier!' She hated the cold more than anything. 'At this rate, I'm going to be an icicle.'
