To protect Liang He's identity and guard against the Rebel Army, Huo An deliberately kept the public in the dark about her contribution to resolving the poisoning incident. Therefore, when Lan Zhuo claimed that Liang He could treat the Little Tiger Whale, everyone was caught by surprise.
"…No, it's just that I snagged some antidote from Lan Zhuo before I left."
As always, Liang He intended to hide her true merits, leaving her no choice but to throw Lan Zhuo under the bus. Fortunately, the video call had already ended; even if Lan Zhuo couldn't keep up with her train of thought, he wasn't here to expose her lie.
"So that's how it is. I was about to say, if you were really that incredible, Liang He, I'd have to snatch you away from Huo An." Goring looked at Huo An teasingly, only to find the man staring back with dark, meaningful eyes. Thinking he had misspoken, Goring wiped a cold sweat from his forehead and quickly tried to lighten the mood again.
