Meanwhile, in the Holy Capital, Jiuying led a male wearing a beast-hide cloak into the room.
Zerev immediately stood up when he saw the two of them.
"Master," Jiuying and the male said as they knelt on one knee.
"Mm, look up," Zerev said. He lowered his gaze and scrutinized the male, noting that their builds were roughly similar. "Take off the hood."
The male obediently followed Zerev's order and removed the hood covering his head. A face with sharply chiseled features was revealed. The male had narrow eyes with long lashes, and his thin pink lips were pressed together in a serious expression.
"A striking resemblance indeed," Zerev remarked, raising his hand to let them rise. "Do you know what you are here to do?"
The male nodded.
"Master," Jiuying said. "I have already explained the task to him, and he has sworn the Beast Oath. Now, all that is left is to establish the Master-Servant Contract with you, and everything will be ready."
