Before long, the teachers from the school arrived.
Not a single one came empty-handed. Some even brought expensive tonics like bird's nest.
Piled in a corner of Evelyn Grant's hospital room, the gifts nearly formed a small mountain.
"How are you feeling now, Alex's sister?"
"I'm fine now. It's just Alex who's worried and won't let me leave the hospital." Evelyn Grant chatted with the teachers for a few moments.
Suddenly, she noticed one of the teachers taking a picture of her with a phone!
The next second, the teacher realized he was being stared at. An awkward expression crossed his face. He forced a smile, his voice sounding a little guilty. "Uh… my husband asked where I was. I'm just taking a picture to show him."
"Oh, it's alright. Go ahead."
Evelyn Grant didn't say anything at the time. But after the teachers had left, she called her brother over.
"Alex, that teacher just now… the slightly heavyset one. Is he married?"
