"Absolutely not! I can't allow you to be with Evelyn Grant! Ryan, are you trying to be the death of your father and me?"
"Mom, after what my brother did, he practically wanted Evelyn Grant dead! Even if she were a complete fool, she'd never get back together with him. So why can't I—"
Florence Morgan was in no state to calm down.
She felt as if the whole world had gone mad.
"You just can't! You and Evelyn Grant are absolutely out of the question! Even if your brother can't win her back in the end, even if they don't get remarried, I will never approve of you having any kind of relationship with her!"
His sister-in-law becoming his wife... The idea was simply preposterous.
Florence Morgan couldn't even bear the thought!
"Evelyn Grant is divorced. She's single, and so am I. I have every right to pursue her, and no one can stop me."
There was no way Ryan Sterling would give up on Evelyn Grant just because his mother disapproved.
