Lin Zheng held a book and casually said, "Exams are over, and everyone is anxious to go home. Who needs you to treat us? With this little amount of money, would there even be any left? You might as well buy that pot and treat it as our dorm's communal property. If you take a loss on the remaining money, you'll just have to suck it up."
Everyone used the pot together, so they couldn't just let one person bear the cost. This had nothing to do with whether a person was rich or poor.
Tong Jia Min muttered something under her breath, but her voice was too soft for anyone to hear. Even if they had heard her, they wouldn't have taken it to heart.
The final exams had dragged on for over ten days. Mr. Ning had called well in advance, saying he would come pick Ning Yue up as soon as the holidays started. Afterward, the father and daughter headed straight home.
