With the group growing larger, Jiang Si had no choice but to clear out another section of her space. She dug up some frozen earth and permafrost and moved it inside, dedicating the new area to planting radishes.
But she quickly discovered a flaw in her plan.
The ability to grow vegetables and grains in her space wasn't solely reliant on the energy stones. She also had an automatic circulation system she had purchased. It could generate power, control the temperature and humidity, and even send reminders for when to water and fertilize.
But for the radishes to become giant, they needed to be planted in frozen soil. The permafrost she brought into her space quickly melted. For some reason, the seedlings that sprouted couldn't adapt to the climate inside and died, possibly because the temperature was too high.
This highlighted a major drawback of her storage space: she couldn't control the internal temperature at will.
