It's a simple thing—just walk out, smile, and wave. That's it. This is a peace party, not a damn death chamber. All I'm doing is stepping into a room to solidify a lighter workload for the future.
So why the hell was I nervous?
Maybe because all the plans I've had for this pack are almost complete. Maybe it's because I keep asking myself: what now? I went from nothing to something, but what comes next? What am I even supposed to want next?
I glanced around the edge of the curtain before stepping out, and what astounded me most wasn't the crowd or the orchestra or even the ceremonial banners flying high with our new shared crest.
