Klein woke up to the sound of his own voice… whispering words he never said.
"Don't look into the mirror."
His eyes snapped open.
Cold sweat covered his body as his heart pounded violently.
The room was silent. Too silent.
Slowly, he turned his head toward the mirror.
For a moment… nothing happened.
Then—his reflection moved.
Not a delayed motion.
Not a trick of light.
It smiled.
Klein's breath caught in his throat. His body refused to move, as if something unseen was pressing him down.
"You heard me," the reflection whispered, its lips moving out of sync.
A sharp ringing filled his ears.
"Who… are you?" Klein forced the words out, his voice trembling.
The reflection tilted its head slightly, studying him like prey.
"I am what you will become… if you survive."
The air in the room grew heavy. Shadows stretched unnaturally across the walls, twisting into shapes that didn't belong to reality.
Then, another voice echoed inside his mind—cold, distant, and far more dangerous.
"He is lying."
Klein grabbed his head, falling to his knees.
Two voices. Two presences. Both fighting inside him.
"Trust me…"
"Ignore him…"
The mirror cracked.
But instead of breaking, the cracks spread like veins of darkness… opening into something deeper.
Something alive.
