Chapter 145 - 145

Chapter 145 People shouldn't be that unlucky.

The unlucky fish thief froze upon hearing that voice so familiar it was ingrained in his bones. He didn't even dare to turn his head, and ran away quickly with his fishing rod and bucket.

The other two also took off running, and quite experiencedly split into three directions.

[My WeChat steps are zero] Looking at his retreating figure, I shouted, "Why are you running? Aren't you trying to make me look bad?"

The unlucky fish thief stumbled and almost fell. He was about to cry. He had been talking badly about someone behind their back and was caught red-handed. How could anyone be so unlucky!

Pei Hening asked, "What did you do after that?"

[My WeChat steps are zero] Frustrated: "I escaped according to the original plan and was ready to wait for you, but I ran into the administrator again. When I was shaking off the administrator, I ran into those two lucky players who escaped."

Pei Hening's lips curled up: "They probably think you did it on purpose."

[My WeChat steps are zero] nodded: "I already said I didn't do it on purpose, but nobody believes me. I'm such an honest and polite person, and those two have such poor taste."

As she was talking, the fish was served.

Honest and polite? Her self-assessment is quite accurate.

[My WeChat steps are zero] I took the small fish off the fishing hook and handed it to the little orange cat, who also offered it as a sacrifice.

The little orange cat accepts anything offered and eats the fish as soon as it's bitten.

Pei Hening noticed the float move slightly and was about to reel in the fish when he realized the fish he had caught seemed to be quite large and very strong.

She tried to reel in the fish, but found she couldn't; it must have weighed over a hundred pounds.

Seeing that [his WeChat steps were zero], he came over to help.

"Splash—"

With a loud splash, the two women forcibly pulled the "fish" out of the water.

After seeing what they had caught, the two fell silent.

Pei Hening looked at the male player who was being pulled out but still refused to let go of the fish, and asked, "Do you have anything to say?"

The other party gave an awkward smile: "Although this fish took your bait, I caught it first, so it should be mine."

It was a pink fish that weighed about one or two pounds. She said, "How can you prove that you caught it first? Let go."

The other party was displeased: "What do you mean? I caught the fish first. You can't be so shameless."

Pei Hening coldly reeled in her fishing rod. Each person had their own fishing rod, and only the player holding the fishing rod could remove the fish that had taken the bait. This was also why the other party wanted to reason with her and ask her to give up the fish.

"Either let go, or..."

She had somehow produced [Withered] and aimed it at the other person's head.

"Why don't we talk this out? Is it really necessary to go through with this?"

Pei Hening laughed: "I'm trying to talk to you nicely, otherwise your head would already be split open, understand?"

The male player glared at Pei Hening and reluctantly let go of her hand.

[WeChat steps are zero] Swallowed hard and moved a little further away from Pei Hening: "Sister, be careful not to go off the rails."

Pei Hening put away the withered [fish] and reeled in the fishing rod: "I wouldn't make such a basic mistake."

"That's good, that's good."

[My WeChat steps are zero] Then she asked, "Sister, aren't you worried that person will come after you?"

Pei Hening touched the turtle shell hanging at his waist, re-baited, and cast his line: "If he's smart, he'll know that the most important thing right now is fishing, not coming to settle scores with me. Of course, if he's stupid, I don't mind giving him a lesson he'll never forget."

Pei Hening hasn't encountered many people since the start of the game, so naturally he doesn't know that people downstream of this river have already started fighting over one or two fish.

"Damn, why can't I take the fish from his fish bucket?"

The player who spoke was wearing a leather jacket, thick black pants, and combat boots. He kicked the player he had just knocked unconscious, cursing, "Too fragile, can't take a beating at all. I should have known better than to hit him so hard."

"Big brother."

The man in the leather jacket looked up and asked in an unfriendly tone, "What are you doing?"

The man walked over, looking aggrieved: "I just ran into a really arrogant woman who pointed a gun at my head. Brother, you have to help me get revenge."

The man in the leather jacket slapped him hard across the face, his voice icy: "You clueless idiot, can't you tell what's important? The most important thing right now is fishing. If you want to die, don't drag me down with you!"

The man asked incredulously, "Brother? Why did you hit me?"

The man in the leather jacket kicked him and yelled, "Get the hell out of here! If I see you again, I'll break your legs!"

The man gritted his teeth. If he couldn't help, he couldn't. It wasn't like he couldn't teach that woman a lesson.

The man in the leather jacket continued fishing with a blank expression.

After the man left, he ran into the administrator. An idea came to him, and he led the administrator towards Pei Hening and [whose WeChat steps were zero].

"Standing—"

"Don't move!"

The man grew happier as he ran, even daring to taunt the administrator: "If you're so capable, come and catch me. If you're not, shut up."

The unlucky fish thief had just caught one fish when he heard someone taunting the manager and leading him towards him. He then grabbed his bucket and ran off, cursing and swearing.

Thankfully, the man didn't lead the administrator this way, and he secretly breathed a sigh of relief. Then he noticed that the man was running towards the "Sorry Sister's" location, and muttered under his breath, "Idiot!"

This idiot went and provoked Sister Apologetic, who was actually a walking cuckoo spirit. Wasn't he just asking for death?

Perhaps he could sneak over there and wait for the fool to be caught by the manager, then steal his fish!

The unlucky fish thief thought it was a good idea and followed him from a distance.

Pei Hening stood up after a while when no fish had been served. "I'm going to find another place. What about you?"

[My WeChat steps are zero] I put away my fishing rod and said, "Let's go then."

As the two of them carried their buckets out of the reeds, they saw the 'fish' from before running towards them with the administrator, taunting them wildly.

"With your speed, you're an administrator? You didn't get the job through connections, did you?"

The administrator got really angry and took the stun gun off his waist. "You better not let me catch you."

"Catch up with me first, all you do is talk."

The fish saw Pei Hening, a malicious smile in its eyes, and ran towards her.

Pei Hening picked up a stone the size of an egg and weighed it in her hand.

[My WeChat steps are zero] I figured out 'Fish's' intention: "Shall we go?"

No rush.

Pei Hening saw the 'fish' getting closer and closer, aiming at his knee. His knuckles turned white as he gripped the stone, and his arm swung in a sharp arc.

The stone in her hand flew through the air with a sharp whistling sound, and slammed into the 'fish's' knee.

'Fish' screamed in pain as his knee ached, causing him to lose his balance and fall forward, landing hard on his knees. This caused further damage to his leg, and he cried out in pain, clutching his foot.

The administrator looked up at Pei Hening, nodded to her, and decisively tied the man up and took him away!

[My WeChat steps are zero] After a moment of silence, I asked, "Were you a shot putter before?"
