Chapter 2 - Chapter one

Lagos, Nigeria....

Nathaniel was totally pissed off by everything going on around him. He had woken up with a foul mood this morning for no reason. He went down to have breakfast when his mum starting with her tantrums and advices concerning his life decisions. He was so pissed off. There was no breathing space in the house anymore. Her ranting had gotten worse as the days went by. It wasn't just at dinner anymore; it was now morning and night. He was fed up with the whole talk. He had a lot of things in his hands at the moment and what she was suggesting was the least of it.

He couldn't move out. The last time he did, his mother fell sick and blamed it on him wanting to abandon her and his family. His parents kept up with the emotional blackmail. They were holding on to him like he was going to disappear from the face of the earth if he moved out. He was a twenty-six year old man and he definitely didn't want to keep staying with his parents. His patience had ran out and this was the pinnacle of it for him. He was definitely moving out of here. He didn't care what they had to say any longer.

He didn't reply his mum till he left to his office. Ahmed his driver didn't say anything to piss him off this morning and he was glad he did because he knew he was going to transfer aggression on him. He was far beyond just angry.

He had a conference meeting by 10am this morning and he didn't feel like he was in the right mood for that but it couldn't be adjusted. His PA should have sent him a reminder already even if he knew he had a meeting but nothing.

No call....No text.

That lady was becoming something else. She had forgotten her place just because they had a thing or two together. Nathaniel made up his mind to remind her who she was and where she belonged. Nathaniel knew he had had a lot of women and they didn't forget their place; he certainly made sure of it. It was all for pleasure....nothing else. The lady had been having an audacity lately and he was going to show her who was in charge.

"Where's Sandra?" Nathaniel asked his secretary angrily.

"She hasn't showed up yet sir" Teniola answered him avoiding his stare.

"You know what.... I want you to prepare a letter of dismissal for me now and send to my office"Nathaniel said then walked towards the conference room.

Inadequacy and Lack of responsibility will not be tolerated at this corporation.

Finally the meeting was over and he could finally retire to his office. He was so overwhelmed at the moment. He had to finalize this five hundred million Naira deal for the company and the whole process has been stressing him out a lot. Lest he forgot the troubles at home with his parents and his siblings on matters of his life that should concern him not them.

He placed his head on his desk when a knock came to his door. It was Sandra; the audacity to be resuming by this time on a day she knew he had an important meeting.

"Sir, I apologize for my late resumption on this time of day. It wasn't intentional sir. I should have reached you sir....I'm so sorry..... I...." Sandra said before she got interrupted.

"Enough!!....I don't care about the excuses you have. Incompetence and lack of responsibility will not be tolerated in this establishment....this is your letter of dismissal. I don't want to hear a single word from you. It seems like you have forgotten your place. It's time for you to come back to your senses. Because we have been having sex doesn't mean you should forget your place. Now....get out" Nathaniel answered authoritatively.

Sandra ran out quickly out of the office already in tears before Nathaniel lost the remaining patience he had.

"Women"He scoffed.

He was fed up of them. He has only been in a proper relationship once and that was when he was in the university. She was a likable and sweet girl. He had even planned on bringing her to Lagos to meet his parents. All of a sudden, he couldn't reach her any longer for about two months. Her friends claimed not to know where she was. It was later on he found out that she had been married off to a man that was old enough to be her grandfather. He had been so devastated.

Do parents still do that to their children?.

He knew she didn't have a choice and he felt guilty for not being able to do anything to help her. He was heartbroken because he had loved her and he had been seeing himself spending the rest of his life with her. He felt hurt that she couldn't even tell him what she was passing through at home and she just disappeared. He hadn't set his eyes on her since the last time she came to see him at his place apologizing. He couldn't blame her; she just had parents who didn't value their own child instead giving them off for what they were going to benefit. He couldn't believe she was gone like that. She had cried so much that day and he felt helpless as there was nothing to do. His father couldn't help at this point; she was married and her parents consent was involved. If she had told him, he could have found something to do. She had so much aspirations and dreams. She was an amazing young girl but then they took everything away from her. She couldn't even go out freely....she had begged the driver at home to quickly bring her to see him when her husband had travelled. She had to apologize to him for hurting him so much and had to explain what happened. Nathaniel still felt they could run away but Amirah was scared of her parents and what they could do. She couldn't take that step. After his graduation, he found out that they had withdrawn her from school and he lost all contact with her.

He never forgot her till date. The remaining ladies he had met wanted him just because of the benefit they could obtain from him. It became worse when he became the CEO to his father's company. He had women flocking around him all trying their luck. They flung themselves to him without shame. He welcomed them though to satisfy his sexual pleasures and that was all.

Sandra had been working with him for about a year and a half now. He had noticed her body gestures and language towards him and he definitely knew what she wanted. He didn't want to give in at first but his lover had messed up and he needed someone new. This was against his work principles and he knew that but the way she had been throwing her body to him and her big ass to him; it wasn't bad to try.

What did he have to loose?.

She had come to drop a document in his house one day and he knew what she wore was a tempting dress and it was intentional. She was a seductress and he knew. He didn't try to fight the temptation instead he gave in. Since that day, they have been having series of sex and she made sure to always satisfy him. The one thing he made sure he never did was to sleep with her in his office. He respected his corporate office. Though, once in a while she pleasured him on his seat but there was no sex. She was good in bed but she had allowed the privilege to get into her head and started misbehaving. Nathaniel was a no nonsense man. He was going to miss the time they had together but she had to go. She meant nothing to him and she had to know that.

*******************************************

"Mum...what is the meaning of this?" Nathaniel exclaimed as he stood up from the dining table about to leave.

"If you won't get yourself a wife, I'll help you. Vanessa Obinna is a lovely woman and you know she studied abroad and Her father is an honorable. Do you know she owns one of the successful fashion brands in the country. She is everything you want and a worthy daughter-in-law for the family" Mrs Okafor{Nathaniel's mother} started.

"You need to get married Chukwuebuka. Your father and I aren't getting any younger. You are a successful businessman already.....the next thing you need is a wife. A wife that will bring good things to this family. I want to see my grand children please. I have given you chances to bring your choice but it seems like I have to do the work for you. Anyways, her parents are having a get together party next week and we are all invited so that gives you a chance to speak to her. Do the right thing" Mrs Okafor concluded.

Nathaniel was fed up with all of this. He didn't even reply her instead he walked away to his room. She kept shouting after him. He could hear his dad telling her to calm down. He wondered what was wrong with her.

Now she was matchmaking him???

He had to move out; it was the height of it all for him. He had gotten an apartment already. A very quiet one where no one could reach him for his peace of mind. He wasn't getting married to anyone any time soon. He couldn't even imagine himself with just one woman for the rest of his life.

Tch...

He needed a new PA asap; He had far more important things to attended to.
