Chapter 2 - Chapter 2: First Day of Classes

At that moment, the bell rang throughout the classroom and the school hallways.

Along with it, several students began to enter the classroom, whom Lyan observed one by one as they took their seats.

'The graphics really are… real.' He thought, astonished.

Every NPC's face had unique details and natural expressions.

If Lyan had to say it, he would say they were real people and not simply NPCs…

As he continued watching them, he noticed how a tall black-haired boy walked toward him with a friendly smile on his face.

'Could he be an initial NPC?'

Lyan assumed he was some kind of guide character. The one who would give him his first mission or explain some important detail.

So he smiled back at him, without any kind of fear or shyness.

The boy walked up close to him, placing one of his hands on his shoulder with confidence.

"Brother, you missed something incredible in the cafeteria."

When he finished saying those words, a small window appeared at his side.

[Reid Kane.]

'So his name is Reid…'

Lyan decided to play along. If this was the tutorial, it was better to go with the flow.

"What happened now?" he asked curiously.

Reid let out a laugh before answering him.

"A third-year guy confessed to Sera."

'Sera?' Lyan thought, nodding with a smile at his friend's comment.

He had no idea who that girl was, but if Reid mentioned her just like that, she was probably one of the main characters.

One of the four women he was supposed to conquer.

Without thinking too much, he responded confidently.

"It was to be expected… someone as beautiful as Sera wouldn't accept a random guy."

At the comment, Reid burst out laughing.

"Exactly, that idiot didn't have any chance of—"

Suddenly, his expression changed completely.

His smile disappeared from his face and his skin visibly paled as he looked at something behind Lyan.

'Huh?'

Lyan looked at him, confused, before turning toward where he was looking.

Only to be met with the image of a girl standing behind him.

She was a short girl, but not too much. She had short black hair, with two long strands that fell along the sides of her face.

Her eyes were an intense red color that gave her a unique vibe.

And her body…

'Damn.'

She was beautiful. Even saying beautiful fell short…

At that moment, the same window from before appeared at his side.

[Sera Tove – Main Character]

'Shit…' he thought as he saw her looking at him.

Since she had one eyebrow raised, and her expression didn't show anger or annoyance…

It seemed more like curiosity than anything else.

After a few seconds, she smiled playfully.

"Well, well," she said in a soft tone. "I never expected the quietest one in the class to think that about me."

She said as she raised a hand to her chest, pretending to be embarrassed.

"You flatter me…"

Her acting was too natural, to the point that Lyan believed it.

'This game might be more exciting than I thought…'

Everything about this girl, in his eyes, was incredibly convincing.

While thinking this, his eyes settled on Sera's chest, which was somewhat large for her height.

'They look very real.'

It was hard to look away from that spot, since the uniform fit too tightly around her chest and her curves.

Lyan, faced with this, could only swallow.

At that moment, Sera's arms moved, covering her chest with them.

Lyan immediately raised his gaze.

And he met her red eyes staring at him, this time with a slight blush on her cheeks.

'Ah…'

Lyan quickly understood what was happening.

Becoming a bit nervous. "I'm sorry," he said quickly. "That wasn't my intention…"

He wasn't entirely sure why he apologized to an NPC. But being one of the main characters, it was probably the right thing to do.

He didn't want to ruin his relationship with them from the start.

Sera was about to respond when the classroom door burst open.

"Everyone to your seats!"

A middle-aged man entered the classroom with firm steps. He wore glasses and had a book under his arm, clearly the teacher.

Reid, who had been frozen this whole time, reacted immediately.

"See you later, brother." he whispered as he placed both hands on Lyan's shoulders to quickly move past him and sit in the back row.

Lyan simply sat at the desk where he had appeared at the beginning.

At that moment, he noticed Sera sitting at the desk next to his.

He just glanced at her from the corner of his eye while she arranged her things.

Her posture was perfect, every movement she made was precise, without even making unnecessary movements.

'She's… perfect…' he thought before the teacher slammed the desk with his palm.

"Open your physics book to page one hundred forty-five."

— — — —

An hour had passed after that, and Lyan had a completely exhausted expression on his face.

'What the hell was all that…?'

He had gone through an entire physics class…

He didn't have any option to skip it. Not a single button… nothing.

He tried to call the system mentally several times during class, but nothing.

"This game really is too real…" he muttered to himself.

At that moment, the teacher closed the book and looked at the class.

"That's all for today."

At that, several students sighed in relief, clearly mentally exhausted.

But before the bell rang, the teacher spoke again.

"Sera, as the class representative, it's your turn to stay and clean the classroom today."

She nodded without any problem.

"I understand, teacher."

The man checked the list of students he had on the desk.

"Let's see…" he said while looking at the names. "Who will accompany Sera today…"

Lyan paid attention to that.

'I'm sure they'll pick me.' He thought, since it was very obvious. This was a dating game. The basic mechanic was that: putting him in situations alone with the protagonists.

"Lyan." The teacher said.

'I knew it.'

At that, several of his classmates began to murmur among themselves.

"Why him?"

"I wanted to be the lucky one…"

"Damn, he's so lucky."

Lyan heard these comments, but none were malicious toward him.

He could clearly distinguish these comments, after so many years of suffering them.

This time, they were of envy.

Something as simple as that made him feel relieved.

'This… feels good.' He thought, while the teacher looked directly at him.

"Is there any problem with that, Lyan?"

"No," he replied without hesitation. "None."

The man simply nodded, satisfied, and began to gather his things before leaving the classroom along with the rest of the students.

In just a few minutes, the classroom was completely empty… well, except for those two.

Lyan turned his head toward Sera, hoping she wouldn't notice.

But his eyes met hers immediately.

She was looking at him with a smile. A warm one, unlike the one she had given him before.

Lyan felt his face heat up slightly at this.

'This is going to be one hell of a good afternoon…' he thought as he swallowed.
