CLANG!
The iron lock snapped and fell onto the stone floor.
Zich first summoned Blood Leech to take over Iron's position guarding the entrance. After returning Iron to the graveyard, he used the handle of Frostgrave to lift the chest's lid.
A stale smell of leather and metal immediately greeted him.
The oilcloth covering the contents had long since dried and hardened, its edges crumbling at the slightest touch.
Beneath it, a silver-gray surface came into view.
Zich pulled away the oilcloth, revealing a complete set of upper-body armor resting inside the chest.
The straps around its shoulders and waist had been neatly folded, while overlapping patterns were engraved across the breastplate. Although dust had accumulated along its edges, the armor still retained much of its original luster.
When he lifted it out, a panel of information appeared before him.
