The bell at the front door rung and a silver-haired girl with pink highlights in her hair and lime green eyes walked in. Her eyes glittered in the dim morning sunlight as she walked over to the cash register, opened a drawer and took an apron out of it. She put her hair up as she put in the apron and looked around.
Skasila was laid out flat on the couch, Kala was cleaning the floor, and Philos was wrapped up in Skasila's tentacles.
She sighed and wrote her name on a little whiteboard.
Kala looked up from the floor and at her, "Oh, hi Lithiu. Long time no see."
Lithium simply nodded and said hi back as she flipped the closed sign to open and went to stand at the cash register.
Kala sighed, "Why are you always this quiet around me? Skasila has told me so many good things about you and how you act, I can't help but always think you'll be a tad more talkative."
"Apologies," Lithiu said mechanically. She went to the record player and put her favorite tape in, making sure to blow on it beforehand. Soon enough the cafe was filled with the song "Etneicifus Se Acnun" by Nat Laf.
A couple minutes later, some customers started to come into the store. It was all going fine, costumers were coming in and out smoothly without any complaint. Or at least they were until some punk came in. They were quite literally a punk in both how they presented themselves and how they acted.
"listen 'ere girl!" The man yelled, "I ain't payin' for that damn coffee when I could easily make it at home myself for free! If anything you should be paying me for even showing up!"
"Then why didn't you stay home and make it yourself?" Lithiu responded cracking her neck.
"I ain't feel like it, simple as that." The man glanced at her up and down, his eyes focusing on her chest. "I thought I might come across a cute girl like you, that's why. Y'know, there's this place down the street--"
Lithiu put her foot on the counter, lifted herself onto it and stuck both of her thumbs into the mans mouth, "Sorry not interested. Hey have you ever seen the periodic table?" The man nodded. "Good, good, I love my elements so I'm going to give you my favorite combo, alright?" He raised an eyebrow.
She pressed the mans cheeks inwards, "Let's heat up some sodium and hydrogen in your mouth for a nice and warm drink, shall we?" As she said this, the man felt his mouth being filled up with a scalding hot liquid. Before he could spit it out, a thick soft foam filled his mouth.
"Leave. Now." The man ran out in a panic, his agonized screams muffled by the foam.
Kala walked over to Lithiu, "You might've just messed up. He had the tattoo of a local gang on his back. Unless you can combine your elements into some sort of large wave this place will be overflooded by those thugs."
"I believe Skasila can take care of it with me. You'll also help, won't you?"
Kala sighed, "Yeah, yeah. Just be more careful next time."

A cold breeze thrifted through the air. The sounds of blades shattering and men yelling echoing through the wind outside the church.
The doors burst open, a cold breeze burst in alongside a fully covered man. Children cowered into the corner. One of the nuns stepped forth, "It seems you have returned, vessel of Cuelebre."
"You know I don't enjoy being called that. Just call me by my real name," the man responded.
"As you wish Tundra. If I may ask, what is your business here that you found it necessary to kill the defenses of the church instead of coming in like a normal person?" She asked.
"I don't enjoy pointless killing, surely you know that. They attacked me first. As for why I'm here, I need brother Orion," Tundra responded removing his hood. It had been a month since Hirune had allegedly died, yet Cuelebre told him otherwise and he'd finally had enough. He needed answers as to where she was.
"Brother Orion should be back soon," the nun said as a man with grayed hair and dark brooding eyes walked in. "Sister Dozmary! I have returned with a fantastic hunt! The children shall feast!"
Sister Dozmary smiled and waved her hand towards Tundra. Orion looked at him and smiled brightly, "Tundra! My boy! You've finally returned!" He hugged Tundra tightly.
Tundra smiled back softly, "Yeah, I came here to run an errand though not to visit, sorry."
"Come on young Snow! At least stay and feast with us tonight!" Orion said with a hearty laugh.
"If I must then I will. After all the one I need for this errand is you, so if you want to feast with them, then I will too," Tundra said sitting down on the pews right in front of the children. "Don't be scared of me you're making me feel bad."
"You should feel bad! You kill people!" One of the kids retorted.
"I did, but they attacked me first. You little ones will be fine. So will sister Dozmary and Orion."
Orion walked over, "Tundra, could you do me a favor? Go catch some fish for me, enough fish to feed the amount of men you killed for a month."
Tundra stood, "Gladly, if it helps you feed these children then I shall ransack the forest of all of its fish and starve the bears. Then take the bears and feed them to the children also."
Tundra made his way out and towards the river. Orion turned to Dozmary with a harsh glare, "You better not try anything this time. You're the reason he disdains this place and never comes."
Dozmary smiled, "He was fated to wield the blade of the lake until that dragon Cuelebre showed up. I was just simply trying to correct fate, and there is nothing you can do to stop me from trying to correct it again."
Orion grabbed her by the scruff, a small fiery light resembling the sun flickered in his eyes. "Listen, Dozmary, that boy is doing just fine with Cuelebre, he cares for that dragon like family. He's closer to that dragon than we'll ever be to him. I wont allow you to take what he cares for the most away from him simply because you think Excalibur is more fit for him than what he chose to keep. If you even lay a finger on that boy, I will use the remaining flames that Sol allowed me to maintain in order to put an end to you. Do I make myself clear?"
Tundra walked to the river bank and stood there for a while. A raspy voice echoed in his head, "Are you sure you want to stay for the night? You know Orion would drop everything in order to help you. You don't have to stay if you don't feel comfortable near the Lady of the Lake."
"It's fine Cuelebre. Dozmary wont lay a finger on us. I promise," Tundra said freezing the entire river.

Lithiu walked out of the back room wearing a nice gray sweater, some black short shorts, and black thigh highs, "See Kala? They never came--" She was cut off by the door bursting open and a bunch of thugs with the same tattoo on their back bursting in.
"You dare mess with the Croatoan Syndicate!" The leader yelled out. Lithiu threw a green liquid into his mouth as he yelled. "I recommend getting that uranium out of your mouth unless you want to get all sorts of cancer."
He spit it out, "EVERYONE CHARGE!" They all yelled and started destroying the place. Before they could do much damage though, Kala made a frame with her fingers and looked through it.
"Highway to Mariana," she said flooding the establishment. Or at least it looked like it was flooded, it was just an illusion to get them all to stop. "Marianas Song," Kala continued staying on the theme of the Mariana Trench. The illusion created some fake sirens. The sirens sung a hypnotizing song, luring the thugs towards them before ripping them apart.
The water turned to fog that slowly revealed all of the gang members sprawled out on the floor foaming out of their mouth. "Sorry, but I won't allow this to become another one of your many Roanokes," Kala said looking down at them."
