The man groaned in pain, the moonlight his only source of light as he dug into the earth.
A distant train whistle echoed through the night. After a while, he threw the shovel aside and dragged the bleeding woman into the hole.
she stirred weakly, her eyes red,her nose coverd with blood, mouth split open.
"please ....don't " she whispered
He smiled.
Then he kicked her in the head watching her whince in pain.
Slowly he began to fill the hole.
His grip tightened around the shovel,knuckles pale under the strain.

Weeks earlier....
Seth Steven squinted against the sun as he walked along a dusty road, the faint sound of a departing train echoing in the distance.
"what shitty luck..."he mutterd under his breath.
At twenty-one, Seth had no job, no family, and after his encounter with that sexy bartender the night before, no money.
His fingers curled slightly as he checked his empty pockets again.
She really took it all.
He barely noticed the bright colors ahead at first-striped tents, fluttering flags, and the distant sound of laughter drifting through the air.
A carnival.
"Rough morning?"
The voice came from beside him.
Seth turned sharply. He hadn't heard anyone approach.
A tall man with black hair and a weird grin was beside him.
"so what if I was... you offering anything to the poor?" Seth knew that was pathetic but he was desperate at this point.
" well I am offering a job"
The man handed him a flyer for the carnival. Seth frowned.
"its an easy job with good morning an a young handsome like yourself will actract good customers"
Seth glanced at the flyer.
This man came out of nowhere and was now offering him a job.
How did he know he had nowhere to go?
Was he spying on him or what?
"so you coming or..."
"yeah I am all in for it, I will work at your carnival" Seth smiled
He would worry about the weird meeting later now he needed food and a bath
