Chapter 20 - Chapter 20

Of course—

There were still shortcomings.

At present, the mech's weapon systems were far from complete.

The main reason?

Luke had some bold ideas he hadn't implemented yet.

Right now, the mech only carried two grenade launch bays.

This was a custom-built system Luke designed based on his own combat style.

Its operating principle was simple:

Vacuum propulsion.

By extracting air from sealed tubes to create negative pressure—

The system could launch grenades from the chamber at high speed.

Advantages?

Clean

No pollution

Minimal prep time

With just one second of charging—

It could fire four grenades in the next second.

Faster than throwing by hand.

And since the mech could fly—

Launching from the air—

Both left and right launch bays could fire simultaneously:

Eight grenades per second.

Second-generation shock grenades and freeze grenades.

Enough to carpet-bomb an area the size of a basketball court.

No discrimination.

No mercy.

"Don't worry… the noise will definitely be impressive."

Compared to this—

That gang fight the other night?

Child's play.

Luke originally wanted to name this move:

"Heavenly Flower Scatter."

But…

"…yeah, that sounds kinda soft."

So he renamed it:

"Divine Judgment."

Aside from the grenade launch bays—

The mech had no other weapons installed.

For something called an aerial combat mech—

That was obviously not enough.

Luke had already reserved slots:

4 machine gun mounts (top and back)

8 missile launcher slots

But—

He didn't have blueprints for those.

And he had no intention of building them himself.

He was going to take them from someone else.

"Why build it when you can just take it?"

He already had targets in mind.

Machine guns?

Grab MP7s and AK-47s from gangs in Hell's Kitchen—

Modify them—

Install them.

Missiles?

"I've heard Hammer Industries makes some nice 'Ex-Wife' missiles…"

Lately—

Luke had been closely following the news.

Two major events had caught his attention.

Event One

A massive green monster appeared in New York.

It caused widespread destruction—

Blocked traffic—

Forced the military to intervene.

Then—

It broke through containment—

And vanished.

The moment Luke saw this—

He knew.

The Hulk had appeared.

The Marvel timeline—

Was unfolding exactly as he remembered.

Event Two

Hammer Industries announced a weapons expo next month.

In other words—

Iron Man 2 had begun.

If Luke remembered correctly—

Justin Hammer would showcase advanced weapons—

Including the Ex-Wife missile.

At that time…

"Heh…"

"What? You think that's robbery?"

"Yes."

"It is."

Illegal?

"Sorry."

As Rotes would say:

"If you don't cause chaos, how do you spread the Apostle's glory?"

Besides—

This was the Marvel Universe.

If you're not making headlines—

What's the point?

Luke thought further.

"By now… Tony Stark should already be suffering from palladium poisoning."

"Soon, he'll be attacked by Whiplash at the Monaco Grand Prix…"

"Should I go check it out?"

If he did—

He might finally get a proper introduction to Iron Man.

Originally—

Luke planned to approach Tony by selling burgers outside Stark Tower.

But after the first meeting—

It was always Tony's chubby driver/bodyguard buying instead.

Tony's favorability?

Still zero.

The more Luke built on his own—

The more he respected Tony.

Luke relied on the system—

Basically cheating.

But Tony?

Pure genius.

Unmatched intellect.

Hands-on mastery.

No comparison.

If Luke could max out Tony's favorability—

He might be able to copy his intelligence.

That alone—

Was worth everything.

"So… should I go to Monaco?"

He hesitated.

Then—

He stopped overthinking.

"I didn't come to this world to play it safe."

"I came to live freely."

"And this time…"

"I actually have the power to do it."

"Then I'll go."

"I'll do what I want."

"Live the way I choose."

Standing before his creation—

Luke couldn't help comparing it to Tony's suit.

For now—

Iron Man was still his benchmark.

Compared to Mark V—

Luke evaluated:

Mobility

Tempest had a huge advantage due to its smaller size.

Power System

Mark V used a second-generation arc reactor.

Tempest used Colorless Cubes.

Hard to compare directly—

But performance-wise?

Comparable.

Maneuverability

All high-speed aerial maneuvers shown in the movie—

Tempest could replicate them.

Materials

Tony wins.

No contest.

His materials were top-tier.

Luke's?

Mostly from a junkyard.

Luke's Advantage

Vision.

Tony was still exploring.

Luke already knew the future.

He could describe Mark 50 in detail.

He knew exactly where to go—

No wasted paths.

Firepower

Tempest was currently weaker.

Mark V had:

Repulsor cannons

Shoulder missiles

Machine guns

Arc reactor beam

But that gap—

Was temporary.

Once Luke installed machine guns and missiles—

He was confident:

He could fight Mark V head-on.

And—

He had something Tony didn't.

The system.

In DNF—

Tempest was only a mid-tier skill.

The real monsters came later.

Female Mechanic Ultimate: G-0 War Lord

A full-scale war machine—

Comparable in size to Iron Monger—

But far more heavily armed.

Missiles.

Hundreds of laser barrages.

Absolute devastation.

Male Mechanic Awakening: Gaebolg Punch

A legendary war machine—

Sealed in another dimension.

When summoned—

Only its arm appears.

That arm alone—

Is over 100 meters long.

Imagine the full body.

"If I can build Gaebolg someday…"

"Thanos?"

"I'll stomp him into paste."

Luke's ambition burned.

With enough materials—

And enough skill books—

He could evolve Tempest—

Into something far greater.

Eventually—

Gaebolg itself.

At that point—

Walking sideways through Marvel wouldn't even be a challenge.

Then—

Reality hit him.

"I… have… no… money."

He wasn't Tony Stark.

No infinite budget.

Building Tempest had taught him one thing:

This stuff burns money.

That's why—

He planned to steal weapons.

Because—

He couldn't afford them.

Whether it was:

Pulling Gaebolg from loot boxes

Or building it from scratch

Both required astronomical resources.

Just thinking about it gave him a headache.

"…I seriously need to make more money."

Luke sighed.

"Damn rich people…"
