LILY AND TORQUE's POV
Torque : (beaming) Ummm… I guess I am grateful. Thanks for believing in me to guide you in physics. May I ask….?
Lily : (serious) Shall we begin?
Torque : (startled) HUH?! Uhh..huh yeah. Where shall we…?
Lily : (serious) Electric Field and Charges Numericals.
Torque didn't expect this study session to be this intense and studious. Anyways what else could expect from a study session with a topper. Finally after 2 hours, it was time for everyone to go home. Torque wrapped up by suggesting Lily to solve a few questions from previous year question papers.
GENERAL POV
These sessions were conducted periodically on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays and the rest of the days no stayback, all of them went home together. Lily was consistent on this and even asked her doubts during the free periods and breaks.
Once, Torque had a meeting to attend. So, he encircled some questions for Lily to solve and left. Seeing Lily alone, Kine, Di, Nishi and Di's trio ganged up on her.
LILY, KINE, DI, NISHI AND DI's TRIO's POV
Lily intentionally looked down into her books when they entered. There was an outburst of fury and questions.
Kine (furious) : Come again?! What did you tell Principal ma'am? You don't understand what we have taught you so far and moreover you want Mr. Torque to teach you?
Di (upset) : At least you could have respected me as your teacher and asked me to explain everything over again…. But no…. who in the world prefers a teacher who was a scholarship student over a graduate from a prestigious university.
Kine : (coldly) Does that mean when I taught you in Class X you perceived nothing?!
Lily : (almost into tears) That's not what I meant…. It's just….
Nishi : (adding fuel to fire) Kids these days know nothing called respect and even the most pampered students like her don't. I don't know what Usina ma'am saw in you guys and bends the rules for disobedient students like them.
GENERAL POV
There's an announcement for all teachers to attend a meeting with the Director. Kine, Di, Nishi and others left the room stomping their feet.
TORQUE's POV
Torque entered the corridor and saw them leaving with fury and rage in their eyes. He suspected it was due to Lily's decision to choose him and his suspicion was confirmed when he saw Lily trying extremely hard to hold back her tears. He didn't try to comfort her with words of comfort, rather came up with something more neutral to lighten the atmosphere.
Torque (warmly) : Hey there topper! Slacking already huh?! If you're allergic to dust just shut the windows and turn on the lights.
TORQUE AND LILY's POV
Torque switches the lights on and shuts the windows while saying those words.
Lily : (still cold but somewhat warm) Artificial light is not good for long studying sessions. I don't want to get glasses on so early in life.
Torque : (chuckles) I'm sorry to say this miss but it's a bitter truth, toppers like you have to face it in the school life itself.
Lily didn't want to get any softer so she pushed her notebook with solutions towards Torque. He understood and went through her solutions. He stopped at a point.
Torque : (surprised and confused) The answer's correct but what is this method?!
Lily : (somewhat embarrassed) Umm actually… I (scratches her head) remembered the answer from previous solvings and I derived the equation by solving this backwards.
Torque : (speechless) Hats off to you Miss….
GENERAL POV
The following day onwards Di and Kine gave a cold shoulder and Torque comforted her with funny explanations and PYQs. Kine and Di were back to being how they were back then, all lovey dovey and giving away lots of MOCs.
FER, KINE AND DI's POV
Kine and Di were giggling while being touchy-touchy. Fer who was enjoying from afar with her bestie, interrupts
Fer : (interrupts) Ahem! You two lovebirds if you get some spare time from all of this then kindly prepare the unit test question papers. Moreover, the deadline's overmorrow. Now I'll excuse myself, thank you.
Fer left blushing, rooting for her ship.
KINE AND DI's POV
Kine sighs in irritation.
Kine : Can't I have more "US" time.
Di : (comforting) We're already having that, aren't we? Ever since Torque stopped pestering you and been busy with Lily…. I feel guilty now. Were we wrong in venting out our rage on Lily that day? Her intentions didn't seem hurtful to anyone and I realise that I really did ignore her requests to re-explain the topics she asked for, thinking that she's the only one and it would just waste class' time.
BEMIN, KINE AND DI's POV
Bemin : Hey, you two (smacks Kine's head gently) slacking again?! Here (hands over a list of students) collect these students and tell them to go to Room no. 1 in the main building, Ms. Usina wants to talk to them.
Di skims and scans the list and sees a few familiar names.
Di : (confused) What's this list about, Sir?
Bemin : These are the students who have retained their two year full fledged scholarship.
Di and Kine looked at each other with guilt in their eyes.
Bemin : What are you both standing still for? Go and do what I told you.
Bemin left and so did Kine and Di.
KINE AND DI's POV
While walking,
Kine : (guilty) I think we should apologise to Lily for that you know.
Di : (coldly) No, we shouldn't. We mustn't forget about her not approaching us before going to Principal ma'am.
Kine couldn't help but give in. The day passed without much chaos.
The next day, GENERAL POV, CLASS XII D
Di was usually taking his class and there's a knock that drew everybody's attention. It was obviously the one whom Di and the shipper gang awaited for. Kine knocked, peeped and checked if Di was in there so very awkwardly on the classroom's door that almost had their eyes staring giving him a queer look.
Least bothered about that, Kine saw his beloved, carrying a satisfactory smile, he moved towards him.
Students (all in chorus) : Good morrrn…..
Kine (forcing a hand gesture asking them not to stand) : (softly) It's alright don't get up...
Nevertheless the students stood up. Kine caring the least didn't even tell them to sit down. He straight away went to his apple, grabbed his collar, smirked and whispered something-something into Di's ears all smiling.
KINE AND DI's POV
Kine (whispered) : Let's not make this any suspicious for them to understand any of this. The question papers I prepared are on your table. Go through them, my apple…
And there was Kine who walked away nonchalantly, leaving Di all blushing. Many wondered what Kine said to Di, whereas many didn't care.
During the break, SHIPPER GANG POV
Lily gathered everyone of the gang to share her insights on the MOC they saw a few moments ago.
Lily (very serious) : so.. Since we all are here already, let me tell you what exactly they talked about.
Sierra (annoyed) : It's again some of your weird fantasy… I'm outta here… (she leaves but lily tries to stop her)
Angel (stopping lily) : Let her go… tell us na.
Lily : Okay (shipper mode) So what he said was (mimicking Kine) "Let's not make this any suspicious for them to understand any of this. I can't take this anymore and want to do something really bad to you. But, just for you, I'll control myself. See you at my place after school. Don't be late or suffer the consequences."
Sierra came back running.
Sierra (catching her breath) : I… saw… I saw them together…
Lily (interrupts) : What !? Together? Let's go..
Sierra (irritated) : They went separate ways already… Anyways, the thing is they were checking out some papers that seemed like the upcoming unit test question paper. Just that. (turned towards Lily) None of your fantasy alright.
Glaxia : (annoyed) but I liked Lily's version better. (considering) What if both the versions were true. (mimicking Kine) "I've already done my work and since I got some free time, I did yours as well and we can do something-something…."
Except for Sierra and Kalea, everyone in the gang blushed and shared that sailing ship happiness and joy. Since both of 'em were already on the verge to outburst they left. After they left Lily started to talk again.
Lily : (still blushing) You guys know what… from the angle I was looking at our ship, it seemed like they were ....(blushed hard, whispers) kissing!!! (still blushing) Oh god, I really need to spread this MOC to Aimi and others. I can't let them miss on some smoking stuff like this one….
GENERAL POV
She ran out of the classroom to go to Aimi's class. On her way she saw Kine, Di and Torque giggling together like besties.
LILY's POV
Lily : (to herself) This also needs a discussion. We'll do that later on, first, tea serving.
