Keifer's POV:
We pulled up in my driveway. I parked the car and got out, Jay did the same. For some reason, I'm feeling a weird type of happiness...
We entered the house, Keiren was sitting on the couch, playing his video game. He looked at me and went back to his game but, then did a double take seeing Jay behind me.
"Kuya? Who is she?" He asked.
"Keiren, she is Jay. She is my classmate and she's staying here for the night." I said and Jay smiled politely at Keiren.
Keiren walked up to Jay. He looked at here, then at me, then back at Jay, and then back at me before asking-
"You two look good together" he said with a smile.
Jay choked on air and I glared at Keiren.
"Watch what you are saying, Keiren.." I said and he got the warning. Or so I thought.
"What?! I'm telling the truth!" He said and I pinched the bridge of my nose.
"Ate Jay! Will u play video games with me?" Keiren said and I froze.
Ate....
"Ate..?" Jay asked
She looked at me, I looked back, before smiling a little as a approval. She turned slightly pink and looked away.
"O-okay... Let's go and play" she said and Keiren clapped his hands happily.
I watched both of them play. I saw Keiren happy after a long time today..
"Jay." I called her and she looked at me.
"Y-yeah?"she asked
"Let me show you your room, let's go upstairs." I told her and she nodded politely.
It's something about her politeness that feels so weird to me. Like she's not being herself..
"This will be your room, my room is here." Pointing at the door beside her rooms.
"Oh-okay... Thanks.." She said.
The shyness in her voice was cute. The thought slipped before I could stop it...
~ Later That Night ~
Keifer's POV:
I went outside for what thought or reason and found the room Jay was staying in..
The lights were on. Not whole but dim enought to see yourself.
I went to her door and knocked.
"Jay?.." I called but no response came from the other side.
"Sh- y-yeah?.." I heard her say.
"What's going on?" I asked
"Oh- nothing.." she replied and I sighed.
"I'm coming inside, can I?" I asked
"NO- WAIT-" she yelled.
What is this girl doing?
Is she texting her boyfriend or something...
"Okay, I'm coming in." I said and pushed the doorknob.
I went inside and the first thing I saw, was that she was sitting on her bed like she was hiding something then I saw it...
Something moving behind her...
I immediately went to her and grabbed her waist to pull her from there.
"Stay there, don't move." I said.
I went to the side of the bed that was moving and yanked the duvet
And it was.....Keiren.
"KEIREN?!" I barked.
"WAHHHH- ATEEEE! SAVE ME!" He yelled and hid behind Jay.
"Keiren! What were you doing in Jay's room!?" I yelled.
"K-kuya..." He said
"Keifer! Don't shout at the kid! He wanted to sleep here!" Jay said to me
"Ate needs privacy, Keiren.." i said.
"It's fine, Keifer. I gave him permission to come in." Jay said, which seemed more like she was scolding me.
"Go to your room now, Keiren." I told Keiren.
"No!!! I want to stay with Ate!" He said and I exhaled a sharp breath through my nose.
"It's fine.." Jay said quietly.
Something about her tone reminded me of....
Mom...
"No, it's not. He can't just do this everytime." I said glaring at Keiren and he didn't even look in my eye.
"It's okay if I said it is." Jay said with authority, that screamed she didn't wanted to argue anymore.
